Located in a Grade II listed townhouse overlooking the secluded greenery of Cavendish Square, No 5 offers unashamed opulence. Just keep it on the down low.

The Venue
Formerly the Spanish Chamber of Commerce, No 5 overlooks the beautiful and tranquil Cavendish Square, just behind bustling Oxford Street; offering a welcome relief from the chaos of the West End.

The decadent Grade II listed Georgian townhouse features three bars, an acclaimed restaurant, a richly decorated private dining room for 25 with your very own butler service, a roof terrace, patio garden, members-only nightclub and, if that's not enough, eight luxury suites. Every inch of No 5 maintains its own character and charm, with rich velvet, mahogany tones and Louis XIV chairs creating an elegant atmosphere.

The Atmosphere
As well as being a sanctuary for a growing number of A-Listers with its private membership option, No 5 also opens its doors to high flying professionals, businessmen with agendas to impress, and a seriously chichi set of partygoers with cash to splash. Expect to find immaculate looking socialite women discussing the latest must-have Prada bag in the ladies and suited men perched at the bar ordering rounds of Cristal champagne.

The Music
The exclusive members' club in the basement of No 5, complete with its own VIP section, plays a selection of RnB and funky house tunes with a few golden dance classics thrown in for good measure.

The Food
Chef Claudio Baccheri’s menu is peppered with intriguing combinations and appetising elements like pancetta, spicy pear sauce, black truffle, and pisatcho salad. For starters, the garlic and saffron dressing drizzled over a healthy Scottish king scallop wrapped in pancetta melts perfectly in the mouth and works well with the fennel salad. For the main, a fresh piece of roasted black cod comes cooked to perfection and is joined by chubby scallops, roasted choidini mushrooms, asparagus and an ever so slightly sweet spring onion sauce that enhances the dish well.

For sides, you’d be foolish not to sample - wait for it - chips, which are some of the finest strips of potato you'll have crunched on in a long time.

The dessert menu reads well because it’s interesting. Lemon panacotta with liqourice sauce does exactly what it says on the tin. But the real winner is the velvety chestnut pancakes filled with figs and walnuts, which are light, silky and unique.

The Drink
An extensive wine list of more than 150 wines from around the globe is well served by the front of house staff, who will guide you through everything with great attention to detail. The prices, like the venue, come with a sentiment of luxe so expect to settle a large tab. A bottle of house wine will set you back £24.

The Last Word
A seriously sophisticated venue filled with extravagant touches. No 5 isn’t cheap, but you can’t really put a price on luxury, can you?
