The ViewLondon Review
The historic town of Windsor has a hot drinking hole, sprinkled with fit girls and a lot of pink – welcome to Pink Gentlemans Club.
The Venue
Tucked away off the high street, just round the corner from a takeaway shop, is the understated Pink Gentlemens Club. As you enter, you are presented with a long staircase leading to a low-ceilinged, red walled room. The pink neon hue from the bar is a truly striking feature. With three faux chandeliers dangling from above it all looks stunning.
Even though it’s small there’s never a queue at the bar thanks to the table service. There are two large curtained off areas for parties and VIPs - the curtains are red, slinky and opaque, which means you can still look out on the whole club whilst in a private setting. There are sleek, black leather booths, chairs, sofas and tables dotted all over the place, adding to its sophisticated feel. Situated in the centre is the pole and, for busier periods, there is a second pole in front of the curtained off area opposite the bar. In the back there are two booths for private dances, they also have the opaque curtains to make it a personal experience.
The Atmosphere
What is most remarkable about Pink Gentlemans Club is how laid back and relaxed the attitude is. People who visit here are mainly regulars and are treated well. You stroll in, the bar staff know your drink and you get taken care of all night without any hassle. They aim to provide a personal service and customers enjoy the familiarity. This is why people come back here regularly. Expect males in their twenties-to-forties who are respectful of the ladies and the rules. If you fancy a private dance it’s £20 for one fully nude performance, £140 for 30 mins and £240 for an hour.
The Music
Surprisingly, the music at Pink Gentlemans Club is of a listenable nature. It ranges from Basement Jaxx to Chicane to Shakira. Any dance genre works here. However, it is mainly poppy dance music with a bit of chart music and generic RnB thrown in. Every tune that they play suits the dances and pleases the customer.
The Drink
For a gentlemen’s club, the prices of the drinks are very reasonable and not as extortionate as other similar places – they even have a happy hour.
Beer is bottled only with brands like Holsten Pills, Brahma, Magners and Budweiser priced at £4.50. A spirit mixer is £4 and a glass of wine will set you back a fiver, which is hardly breaking the bank. For a glass of Champagne (Lanson) it’s £8 and the bottle is £55. If you’re feeling a bit extravagant you could purchase a magnum of Moet for £160, and for the gangster in you, Cristal is £275 a bottle.
The Last Word
Pink Gentlemans Club is a brilliant, high-class venue with a down-to-earth attitude geared towards the customer without having an agenda.
