Very good venue. Great music, great vibe and crowd (I was here for a DnB night). The smoking area is one of the best around. It has beds all around on which people spread out with their friends when they need a break. Only thing about this place is that the drinks are way too overpriced!

Went to proud2 for defected in the house (nye). Worst clubbing night I have ever had. As far as music and the club itself it was good however I left after waiting for nearly an hour to get a drink. The club itself is quite big and they had only 2 bars to get served. There was a VIP bar which was empty. Bar staff were slow and there was just no system in place. I would highly suggest avoiding this club and go to ministry or pacha. At least you can get served.

We are very sorry you did not enjoy your NYE at Proud2, the general consensus after the event was that it was one of the best NYE parties in London this year so it is unfortunate that you did not feel the same way. I would like to point out that we did have a total of six bars open to the public, rather than the two you mentioned. The VIP floor was open access so no restrictions were in place in regards to reaching this bar. Despite the venue being at capacity we always pride ourselves on our quick bar service and highly trained staff and this has been highlighted on numerous occasions within reviews of the venue. We would love to offer you an complimentary open invitation back to Proud2 to experience the venue again and to hopefully re-assess your opinion of the site.

Went to Mulletover last weekend and as a fan of Matter i was sceptical whether it would live up to such a good club...however it did not disappoint!!! They have made it look so much better, still got an industrial feel so you can have a good old rave up but with addition of lots of mood lighting and chandeliers and as everyone says below THE best smoking terrace area with amazing vews across London. I don't know what the girl was talkign about below because it was PACKED! The crowd were really into it- most probably because Tobi Neumann smashed it! Will def be back soon. New. Fave.Club!

I went to Proud2 on Friday for Tinie Tempah's after party, and it was HUGE!! First time to the club and I was extremely impressed, and will certainly be becoming a regular! The atmosphere was amazing, plus the outdoor smoking area is the best I have ever seen! With heated bed booths and amazing views over London, I loved it! I will be back!!!!!!

A venue of both extremes. The actual venue itself is pretty good. finding it is a bit tricky, but once your the its pretty good. the bouncers are the most understanding bouncers I've ever met. The actual venue is really nice, well designed, and it has THE BEST SMOKING AREA OF ALL TIME. the smokers area has spectacular views of the sunset and canary wharf, with beds, a bar, music and heating. But this is where the problems start. the outdoor smokers area is better than the indoor venue, which can never be a good thing. drinks are cheap, but not cheap enough to get drunk to the point where u cant notice that the music isn't very good, and that the venue is never really fulled, there is too much room. The people there are very sociable, however, and are easy to talk to.as a social gathering, this place is great for meeting new people. As a nightclub, try elsewhere.

It must be the owners or internal people filling this site with the good reviews... Have been there twice now and been dead each time! the venue is amazing and it could be the best if it wasn't so empty! The drinks aren't cheap but not as overpriced as westend club... maybe the same actually... £9 for a double JD and coke £8 for a double vodka coke... drink before you go. The bar staff seem slightly exploited wearing those skimpy "uniforms" lol i dont see how it goes with the vegas theme?! Its clearly just to entice the guys and some of them dont look to comfy wearing it... wheres the topless guys for us ladies?!? But honestly unless your getting in for free i would say give this place a miss its not worth the hassle, money or travelling time sadly... Hope to see it pick up!

I went to Proud2 couple weeks ago, I personally think that finally London has new stunning house for music lovers, sound system amazing, stuff are super friendly, interior its so fantastic and the smoking area its so great we had so much fun out there!
Well its so worth to go there, and trip back home with the couch services they've got reminds me a Ibiza Shuttles - great idea and safes money. I only wish this Proud2 a success, they really know what they are doing.

Went to Proud2 a few weeks ago and had one of the best nights out I've had in a long time! Although a little out of the way, the transport links after the tube closes are really good, only took us half an hour to get home, when usually it takes twice as long from the city.

The club itself is pretty amazing, the décor and wall art are really impressive and look so much better than when it was matter. My favourite part was definitely the smoking deck, I've never seen such a nice smoking area, and we spent a lot of the night out there chatting, drinking and having a great time.

and of course the sound system is amazing, it literally blew my mind! The club could definitely have been busier although the area is so big I can imagine that it would be quite hard to fill every weekend. I can't wait to go back on a sell out night and really see the crowd go crazy.

went along with a few friends to a day and night thing called Live Fest a few weeks ago. Live bands, DJs and some other live artists. A brilliant day out!

Zane Lowe was amazing and it was also the first time I'd been back to the venue since it used to be Matter. Can't fault anything about the place really. Staff were helpful, toilets were clean and inside was decorated beautifully, felt like I was in Vegas or something!

Oh and that sound system, I thought I was going to explode. un reallllllll

i can't understand why this place has so many good reviews either.
went the other weekend and went at the time it opened.
has gone really downhill already, was half empty and just a bit depressing really. any kind of atmosphere is lost in all the empty space. had to wait to be served despite there being pretty much no one waiting at the bar because all the bar staff were standing chatting to each other and ignoring customers. wouldn't bother if i were you, i won't be going back.

Hello London_town,sorry you had a bad experience. Which night did you come on? This will have a lot to do with how empty/full it was. As we are such a huge club even with 1000 people it can look empty as we are 3000+ capacity! All of our bar staff are highly trained and I'm sure if they were standing around chatting this would not have been for long as one of our managers would have spotted it. It is very annoying waiting at a bar but sometimes when in a nightclub this is going to happen. We had 7000+ people through the door this bank holiday weekend - full to the brim each night! All of our facebook fans seemed to love it. So maybe don't give up on us yet london_town? How about emailing vip@proud.Co.Uk and we will sort you a free guestlist to come down to the club one night and let us change your mind?

Has to be one of the best venues in London! the size and atmosphere of the place makes it such a unique place and the sound system lived up to expectations. Went there for Kinky Malinki and it was great, no trouble in the club like there used to be when matter was open, plus the smoking area is 10 times better! Definitely recommend this place

Went to Kinky Malinki at the weekend, first time I've been back since they used to do it at Matter, deffo worth a shout!

There's so much more space to dance than before and the drinks are a little bit cheaper too. It sort of reminds me of Koko, but much much nicer.
Great night out.

I cannot fathom the reasoning behind the largely positive ratings Proud2 has received on this website. From the beginning till the end, I had a dreadful night almost solely down to the venue and staff.

We bought VIP tickets and a table which came up to a few hundred pounds. By the very nature of being a so called important person, you'd presume that's how you'd get treated. Not so. We waited over an hour for our bottles to come, in which time the only viable alternative which was offered was to spend yet more money at the bar. So early on, wasn't impressed. Yet, we were determined to have a good night.

Whilst waiting for our bottles, we were watching the admittedly very talented performance acts they had on stage. Whilst I don't want to take anything away from the brilliant Brazilian dancers and woman with the hoola hoop, it just didn't feel right in a club. It was certainly cool but when it's broken up by Jason Derulo and Rhianna songs, it just feels poorly put together. The venue seemed to be half empty with no real atmosphere to speak of other than some young looking girls running around an empty dancefloor having just enjoyed their first few sips of alcohol. Not nice.

The general decor of the venue, again, wasn't that great. Whilst they'd definitely spent a lot of money on it, having chandeliers amongst blue and green lighting appeared to be something more at home in the 80s. I have to give it to the smoking area however, that had a very cool and chilled out vibe.

To add insult to injury - we were kicked out of the venue. This is the first time it's happened to me, too. An individual began to push me and after telling him to stop, he began to act aggressive. Out of nowhere, a bouncer came and told me that someone said that *I* had pushed him and proceeded to escort me out with necessary force. This was despite the money we spent. Lost my custom and my network's custom. Have decided against having bigger party here.

I am sorry you had such a bad experience at Proud2. We try to create the best night possible for all of our guests and it saddens us when this does not happen for someone. The night you attended was a well known student night so young girls are to be expected. In regards to the music – this event was advertised as ‘a celebration and unification of cultures from across the globe’ and it sounds like that’s what you got! We understand that it’s not going to be for everybody as expressed by yourself here. We are investigating the ‘pushing’ issue. If trouble does occur within our venue it must be dealt with in the swiftest of manners due to the nature of our huge venue and the location. All of our security and door staff are fully trained professionals and compile with all of the rules and regulations required by law. Please do drop us an email at vip@proud.co.uk we welcome all feedback.

Headed over to check out Bacchus with Grimshaw>> White Lies>> Danny Rampling>> and Sketches live. The venue looks great, for people into the whole clubbing thing it really is unmatched in England>> The lights, sound, vibrating dance floor etc are amazing>> looking down from top floors is fun - i love being able to chill out in so many different areas>> Sky bridge when you are drunk makes for good photos and fuzzy tummy as you look down 3 floors to all the bodies dancing around far below. All made better by money saved on tickets, i have a feeling this is a temp thing as they just opened but wahh hay dancing until 7am and not paying £20 to get in = more money for drinks!

This club is amazing! I went last week and it really did feel like you were in a club in Ibiza. The outside area is the best i have ever been in, circus fires were displayed all around with huge beds, so cool.

I definitely recommend this club, I had a wonderful night.

I've had a few horrible nights at Proud Camden and was pleasantly surprised with my night out.

The biggest difference that I could see (compared to matter) was the change in emphasis in live music which is really great, the venue is perfect suited with all 3 levels giving amazing vantage points of the stage which has had a bit of a revamp. Now I can sip a rum and coke while watching bands from the balcony instead of being 10 deep in the crowd, makes a massive difference for me. All they need now is some decent bands.

All the bars were really cool and prices ok for a big club, bartenders were all up for a good time and the hostesses all looked amazing, like models. Special thanks to the bartender with the feather in his hat, left me with a smile on my face every time I needed a drink.

Some of the performers were incredibly lame i.e. lost tourists, but overall they were an outstanding part of the night i.e. fire breathers and the girls hanging in chains from the roof

Some quality music would be what would bring me back, but overall the vibe of the place is smoking hot. The beds in the outside area are particularly nice, I can see myself there in the summer.

My only qualm was queuing for taxis, it took a very long time and cost an arm and leg. It seemed like it was being organised by the how much money the taxi driver could get and not the people whom had been waiting out in the cold for 20 mins. It would be great if the tube was open

This is a poor attempt at a Vegas Club. The venue was half empty, the decor is completely random (chandeliers and graffiti) and doesn't really work and the drinks are pricey (£4.50 for a beer in a plastic bottle).
There were random characters walking around such as people dressed as priests holding placards with 'clubbing is a sin' and overweight southern american tourists...slightly stereotypical?
The 100 taxis supposedly waiting outside to take you home were more like 4. The most I saw in the half hour wait for a cab (despite there only being 5 people in the queue in front of us) were 6 cabs and this was well before closing time. You then got to the front of the line to be told you had to pay extortionate prices before you even got in the cab. My advice would be to organise your own cab home. We paid full price up front for a cab, then they shouted down the line to see if anyone else would share as there weren't enough of us to fill a cab?! When we pointed out that we had just paid full price the driver just said 'fine' and drove off. People who were obviously staff also bought their friends straight to the front of the queue and pushed in infront of customers who had been waiting a long time.
Overall it just didn't work and felt more like an Oceana than any clubs I have been to in Vegas.

Thanks for taking the time, we do appreciate feedback! On taxis we agree the prices and method of handling were not right and have been putting our own staff on queue to stop this now. We hope prices and handling will be much better now. Our bar prices are probably the best of any late night club in London. Plastic bottles are to do with police regulations! they cost more believe it or not.
The humor is of course stereotypical, or it would not be funny?! It is hardly in any way stopping you having fun?
As for the decor, 99% of people love it and have complimented its ambition and scale. The place is 40 000 sq ft, and only a mad person would try to stick to one "style" to dress a space that size as it would be totally boring! This is (like Vegas) supposed to be big in scale, bold, silly, fun and crazy. You may love one bit and hate another. We hope it does have that affect on you.
Anyhow, I am sorry about Taxis and will attempt to sort this out asap! We actually have around 400 taxis, but at peak moments most are being used. I am not sure if there were 6 cabs waiting how you waited for half an hour?!
The night you attended we very close to capacity. Most people enjoyed it for not being quite so insanely busy.

And the superclub is back in the game! Back in the day, I think the phrase was, 'it's going to go off in here tonight.' Large nightclubs might have died hard with a vengeance but I reckon they are on their way back. Kinky Malinki on Saturday was like the good old days. Great venue interior, awesome sound system and plenty of eye candy to look at and that's just the wall art. Proud2, how do I love thee, let me count the ways...
