Having built a strong reputation since its conception Heatwave at The Rhythm Factory is one of the best places to find your fix of Latin hip hop, dancehall and reggaeton in London.

The Night
heatwave at The Rhythm Factory is a monthly night run by the owners of the Scandal Bag label brings together the sounds of Jamaica and Latin America to a small corner of East London. Reggaeton is doing big things Stateside and is building a following in the UK thanks to the likes of Daddy Yankie, and this is the night where you can get your fix.

The Venue
The Rhythm Factory has a gritty element which makes the whole experience more authentic. Three rooms offer something for everyone. The first room is where people mingle and relax to chillout vibes, the second room brings the grimier bashment and reggaeton, and lastly the Latin carnival is in full swing in the back room.

The Atmosphere
Heatwave is a late night party and people will queue till the early hours to get in. The crowd are friendly and are out for a good time as they alternate between the Latin room and the Jamaican vibes getting their grind on.

The Highlights
Live MCs make this more than just another club night and names to look out for include Dynamite MC, Riko Dan, Wiley, Rodney P and Blak Twang. The Heatwave DJs have been playing together for five years so they play an excellent set which keeps the crowd in a party mood.

The Last Word
If your usual night out is a quiet drink and home before last orders then stick to the front bar. Heatwave at The Rhythm Factory is not for the fainthearted.
