This is a real hidden treasure - a little jewel box of a ballroom in future-fabulous brockley. Events here likely to appeal to all ages - watch those aged 70+ ballroom dancers go and feel shame! - and some unexpected events sometimes wind up being held here too. You'll have seen this place in numerous TV ads and films, so come and see it in person. Take no notice of other reviews - this is a friendly and welcoming place.

Bloody awful. Don't call with enquiries, they are incredibly rude and unhelpful on the phone.

Venue is shabby and dated, staff are surly and rude, beverages over priced and all told, a nasty, seedy little backwater.

What a shame as i had high hopes for this place.AVOID!

Oh dear, you didn't get it, did you.

Yes, the Rivoli is certainly a bit shabby. It's run on a shoestring, mostly by the owner, who is (I'd guess) in his late sixties.But dated?

Err??! that's the bloody point, you halfwit. It's a 50s ballroom.

Beverages overpriced? I don't know where you drink. Tesco's, perhaps. Every time I've been there - and that's a lot of times - the staff have been polite and helpful.

Perhaps they saw you coming...Let me know where you like to go for a fantastic night out and I'll AVOID that.

Vigour is right about one thing (and one thing only). Don't phone the venue. Fortunately you don't need to as I think all of the events are advertised online with contact numbers of the organisers, if you trouble to look (there's this thing called Google, it's new). As for shabby, well a little, and dated - of course! I've never found the staff rude - quite the opposite. And seedy backwater? Well it's in Brockley if that's what you mean. But a gem.

I love going to Jive Party at the Rivoli Ballroom, the music and venue are perfect and I always have an excellent time. I would definitely recommend Jive Party at the Rivoli.
