We went to Rumi last Friday night after a colleague recommended it to us.

We had arranged a guestlist. Upon arriving we were greeted at the door by Manoj who had arranged the guestlist for us and also a seating area which he had pre-arranged for us.

We were taken to our seating area which was a really nice sofa area where we could all sit back relax and take in the evening.

The cocktails were excellent and the music and atmosphere was brilliant. We danced the night away into the early hours of Saturday morning.

Rumi is a gorgeous, funky and sumptuous place and the staff and atmosphere was excellent.

I would highly recommend Rumi for a special night out into town and we will definately be visiting again

We went to Rumi for some post-dinner drinks on Friday and had a really good time. The staff were really friendly and welcoming, and had reserved an area for us. All in all, I would definitely recommend Rumi as a place for good cocktails and great music to dance to.

I wasn't sure where to go out in Chelsea however I heard of Rumi and how it had a good vbe, music and good selection of cocktails therefore last minute I sent a guestlist through and luckily I received a call from the manager to confirm my guestlist which was very helpful.

Me and my friends had a brilliant time, dancing away, and drinking cocktails.

The atmosphere was great, the DJ played all types of music which suited everyone, and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful therefore I would definitley return to Rumi again and would highly recommend Rumi to all.

Were here on Friday night and had a great time.

I was planning an event for 16 people. The person I spoke to when organising this night out was more helpful by a MILE than the representatives of the other 5 'quality' London Bars I enquired about. Couldn't do enough to make it easy for me.

And this level of service continued on the night itself - the bar was smart, the seating area for our party ample, the music spot on, the food excellent and the team of people there were without exception friendly, hospitable and went out of their way to look after us. You will NEVER meet better, friendlier front-of-house people.

I'd recommend this place to anyone planning a guestlist event or just a last minute night out. Genuinely cannot get over how good the service is and how friendly the staff are here.

I recently celebrated my birthday at Rumi. The staff were really helpful to both me and my guests, the dj and live singer were excellent, as were all the cocktails. Everyone had a good time and I would definitely recommend it to anyone else.

I went on Friday night and it was great service and music. The table area which was reserved for us was also spacious for 15 people. Definitely a place to go to and better service than most members clubs!

I was struggling to find a venue for my 23rd birthday party for about 40 people and after reading great reviews on Rumi, i decided to give it a go. Let me just say, everyone, including myself was extremely happy with the choice of venue. The manager and staff made my night unforgettable! All my friends can't wait to have their birthday's there!! Fabulous venue, great bar menu and even better staff. 5 STARS!

We always have a great night at Rumi and last Friday was no exception - we didn't want to leave at 2pm! As always, particular credit to the door staff for being so friendly and doing such a good job, and the DJ for listening to requests and playing some great tunes.

I had such a superb time at Rumi and my husband and I celebrated our 1 year wedding anniversary in style with all of our friends!! Manoj was brilliant in helping us prepare for the evening. The live singer and pianist were great and added to the party atmosphere. All the bar staff were friendly and welcoming. All in all a fantatic night and I look forward to returning.

If I could give less than 1 star I would. I can only presume that the bulk of reviews posted were by either the owner/s or staff of Rumi. Don;'t be fooled, there are a million other places out there that will actually treat its patrons like human beings. Avoid at all costs!

I have been to tons of venues, Rumi has to one of the best. Collectively, it brought together all of the elements needed to have a great night out. I brought in my birthday with friends and the ease of getting in to getting a drink was unexpected. Manoj was very helpful in organizing the guest list and even accommodated last minute additions. The hostess was super friendly and made it possible for us to get a table quickly. All the staff were friendly, including the bathroom attendant. The atmosphere, crowd, music, and cocktails created a scene that you can't find easily. Def. planning my next visit soon...my new found hot spot!!!

After living in Sydney for a year I celebrated my return to London at Rumi last Friday night- my friends and I have frequented the bar over a period of several years and it never disaapoints. We had a fantastic evening aided by the excellent bar staff, electric music (who was the DJ?!) and incredible atmosphere. Manoj the owner was very helpful, reserving us a table from which we could drink and dance around all night. I had friends from Sydney accompanying me and they loved their first experience of a night out in Chelsea. Thanks to all at Rumi- we're already planning our next visit...

It is definitely safe to say that we will all be returning to Rumi one evening very soon!

Fantastic venue, helpful friendly staff. The music and atmosphere were great . Had my 30th Birthday there and everyone wanted to go back to Rumi again in the future. We left at closing time because none of us wanted to stop dancing! Will definitely be going back. Thanks to Manoj for helping to organise everything.

Fabulous atmosphere, great staff, brilliant music. So refreshing to be somewhere that isn't pompous, it works both ways because the people it attracts are great too. Can't see my self going out anywhere else for a long time!

I went there expecting a good night but I ended up having an excellent night which surpassed all of my expectations!

Being in the fashion/customer service sector I found Rumi staff to be very attentive, warm and friendly. The venue is beautifully decorated, small and cozy but stylish and sleek. The music was by far the best mix of music I've heard in a long time, from old school 80's hits to contemporary chartoppers, no one was sitting, and that's not an exagerration!

The icing on the cake was the personal attention given by the staff and Manoj who even made sure we got home safely in the Rumi transport cars! Manoj congratulations on a truly great bar, See you soon!

I went to Rumi on Friday 20th June to celebrate my 20th birthday with c.20-25 friends. We had a brilliant night there and I would definitely recommend the venue as a cosy place to have a bit of a dance, drink decent drinks and mingle with friends.

Music was a really good mix of R&B and commercial, lots of people were up dancing and the crowd was full of decent, well-mannered party people. Drinks were all great and the staff were really courteous from the minute we arrived - doorstaff, bar staff, etc. Makes a nice change from the usual moody people working in bars/clubs in Londno.

Big thanks to Manoj for being so welcoming and organising a little area for me and my friends.

We've been going to Rumi for the past few years and somehow Manoj the owner has managed to keep this venue right up there with the best of them. From the moment you walk through the door you get a very personalised welcome with friendly door staff and barmen. There is no pretense just plain old fashioned top quality service and great drinks in a very intimate club. The music is awesome and a superb mix of RnB, house and some funky tunes. It is so refreshing to be able to go to the same venue time after time and be guaranteed a excellent night. Keep up the good work Rumi!

Rumi Bar is lush! we had our engagement party there last week and from the moment our guests walked in and until the moment we all left it was a top rate experience without the pretence. It is beautifully decorated, intimate, music that builds as the evening gets swinging, they even had a live singer early in the evening! The staff are warm and friendly and we never had to wait long at the bar. Manoj and Tony looked after us as if we were their personal friends making sure we all felt welcomed! We will be back.

My second visit to this delightful gem of a club, Rumi really hits the spot compared to the vast nameless and faceless clubs you find in London, Manoj Lad (the manager) is first class in making you feel super special regardless of what you are at the club for (i celebrated my birthday here and then second visit bought along some friends who were visiting from out of town), make sure you send your guestlist to guarantee a night of great music, a relaxed and happy vibe, friendly staff and reasonably priced drinks. I would highly recommend Rumi for an intimate, friendly feel with not a whiff of arrogance or pretence in the air whilst still maintaining the beautiful decor, drinks, people and so on. I am definitley returning and my friends have become big fans after just one visit! make sure you visit!

There's just something about this club that I really like. I've been here three times now and more recently I arranged to have some birthday drinks for a mixed group of 28-33 years olds. Every visit to Rumi we've had a wonderful time and the feedback from my friends was also the same. The price for drinks/cocktails is mid-range in my opinion.

This place is great for both couples and groups, especially if you want to go somewhere classy but not full of snobs or chavs. There's nothing really bad to say about this place other than it's not located right next door to a tube station, which actually plays to its advantage. The only negative - there isn't a huge amount of seating, the bar staff allowed us to use the reserved seating which I guess should be booked in advance if you can. There is a decent sized area for standing around towards the early part of the evening allowing you to bust some shapes towards the end of the night although it does tend to get a little busy at the end of the night. The DJ was very good and didn't play anything too hard that requried you to do stretches beforehand and always managed to maintain a decent atmosphere.

All in all, a nice haunt to have a few cocktails surrounded by beautiful people at a mid-range price. I'll definitely go back.

I had my birthday party there and we had such a good night. So many places in that area are really pretentious and Rumi wasn't like that at all. The place looked gorgeous - really stylish - and it had a very relaxed and friendly atmosphere.

Everyone had so much fun and it all worked perfectly. The area we had reserved worked really well for all our friends to gather and chat. All in all a brilliant night and lots of my friends have said they would love to go there again. "

We had a great time last Saturday at Rumi Bar. Perfect for a dancing night, listening to old and new tunes for everybody.

Just a couple of things made it only great, but not perfect.
Frist one regarding the small bar on the left side. They run out of lemonade at 22pm, so people had to change their mind and have another drink after queueing for a while, or queue again by the other bar.Same problem with Havana Club Black Lable. They should be ready for things like that before open.

The second one, about the music volume, and agreed with all my friends. It was a bit too loud. You werent able to communicate with other person at least you shouted into his ear. The music was lovely, but a lower volume would have been enough to enjoy it at the same time as beein able to have a little chat with a friend.
The fact isolated peolpe a little bit.

Well, all these is definitely improvable, so I hope I am able to say "it was a perfect night" in my next review.

I organised a school reunion party night here. The music was fantastic, and the drinks were great. Our waitress was incredible. She was extremely attentive and had a fantastic demeanour. All my party had a great night, unfortunately some of them forgot to sign in on the guestlist so didn’t get their free drinks but all the same the night was a huge success. We really did have a fantastic time and many of my party expressed their pleasure and intended to return to the venue again. The live music at the beginning of the night was amazing, that guy had a fantastic voice, and although he too over 30 mins longer than we were informed as he was occupying our seating area, he entertained us well, it was just unfortunate that we all had stillettos on that motivated us to chase him up to move!
Their correspondence was excellent and unfortunately my guestlist jumped from 30 down to under 15 and they had no problem with that. I have absolutely no hesitation to recommend this bar/club to anyone.

We went here on a busy Saturday night with lots of private parties going on (we were one of them). Lovely bar, great music but there were so many people crammed into such a small venue there wasn't any room to dance and service was extremely slow. We waited 40 minutes for our first drink (from our designated waitress)! We were meant to have a waitress to take order but we must have seen her twice throughout the night. Great venue, but be prepared for long waits for drinks and no room to dance.

Rumi is awesome! We've had 3 nights there in the last 2 months and they've all been fabulous! Not too big, not too small, room to dance, space at the bar. The music's brilliant; staff really friendly; and atmosphere's ubercool. Love it!

One of the very few bars in Fulham worth going out of your way for - a beautiful venue that suits a few chilled cocktails with friends, or a big night out equally well... The staff are incredibly nice and helpful and go out of your way to make sure you have a good night. Just remember to send a guest list in advance.

After a long search for a place to celebrate my birthday on a Friday night, without the need to worry about paying expensive minimum charges... I called up Rumi bar and Manoj kindly reserved a small table area for me. There were around 20 of us and we had no problem getting in since we are all on the guest list. The interior is very cozy and relaxing, the drinks were well priced. The lady on the door was nice, staffs in the bar were very efficient, music + DJ was great. All of us have a fantastic time and will definately visit again.

My friends and I spent a ridiculous Friday evening at Rumi. The venue itself is beautiful. Silk tapestries cover the low ceiling. Really plush couches line the walls. The bar service is fast, which is important to me, and the music is really wonderful for dancing. We heard Amy Winehouse, Justice, Sugababes, Girls Aloud, Justin Timberlake, House, Dance...some other stuff I can't quite recall.

Faced with the daunting task of finding a 'chique and temporary' venue for 100 French youngsters visiting London as part of their MSc programme, I resorted to an online search. Rumi did everything the reviews say it does – professional, reliable, flexible fabulous and fun! I would like to extend huge thanks to the manager and all the staff who handled the group in a most professional manner! The students were clearly impressed and got a good taste of London @ Night. We will be back with the new ‘batch’ in 2009! Thanks Rumi for the unforgettable evening!
