Just came back from Runway (or 55 Club as they now call it) and after agreeing with all the reviews felt compelled to add my 2 cents.

easily the worst "expensive" club in London... useless staff, watered down drinks, dodgy wannabe crowd, sticky dance floor... this club had it all in spades.

only reason i came down was because a promoter friend of mine had a table... but still wouldn't go back even though it was free drinks for me.

This should be rated no stars!
Went on Saturday 21st. Had organised a guest-list for myself and 2 other friends. Arrived at 21:45 and was made to que outside for over an hour and a half. It seems as if they like making people que outside so it looks busy so when Chloe Green and some guy from N-Dubs turns ups.
After queing and then finally getting to the front of the que a rude bouncer tells us to get out the que as there are no other guys allowed in on the guest list.
Terrible organisation and a terrible attitude towards its customers.
If you want to go to this club make sure you have a back up plan as no matter how early you get there your are made to que and then you still don't know if your going to get in.
Total waste of a Saturday night.

The most expensive club in London?
Yes - £40 for two, watered down Jaegerbombs!

The most unwelcoming bouncers in London?
Yes - why I queued for half an hour at 8.30pm is still a mystery?

The most dishonest bar staff in London?
Our card had numerous drinks overcharged

Avoid at all costs.

Managed to fail on every level, Ran out of Beer by 8pm, only had (warm) champagne and wine which ate through the bar tab comically quickly, Terrible food and had to wait 30 mins just to put my jacket in the cloak room.

How this place is still open is a mystery.

I would like to point out this venue should have no stars* as it does not possess any star quality... having been to Runway when it first opened and then to visit now. It is still an utter disgrace...

For a private function that had been booked for 2months prior and had several follow up meetings, i was in total shock that they were still sticking pieces of the floor down with silicon an hour before the 300 people were about to show, then they put a wet floor sign up on the middle of the dance floor.

The large tab was for wine and beer only and other spirits were to be purchased but they had long run out of beer well before the tab was any where near reached. They were not even the tiniest bit sorry for this major oversight and didn't even give discount on the wine clearly trying to push their watered down spirits.

The staff were rude, unhelpful, it was like the whole club was being run by 12 year old children though i think 12 year olds may have taken more pride in their work place.

They also proceeded to let 50 people in the club then half an hour later send them all back outside so they could search every-one's bags coats etc (to a Xmas work do) with only one member of staff doing everything.. i admit she was under pressure but she was was rude and none of the other staff were even trying to help her.

The bouncers they were refusing entry to sober staff that were going to their own Xmas do. They wouldn't let you stand anywhere near there umbrellas, though it was raining.

I will not be back nore will anyone from my office or anyone i know.

Disgusted...

Had a work Xmas party here and it was a disaster.

Massive queues for cloakrooms, ran out of beer and the food was semi-frozen.

Useless staff - definitely one to avoid

Utter, utter shambles. The cloakroom queue was ridiculous, the toilets were filthy and the staff were rude to say the least.

Several glasses were dropped on the dance floor, due to its slippery nature but the staff were nonchalant at best at clearing up the broken glass and spillages (which led to more breakages). They didn't have a single mop or dustpan and brush, and resorted to using reams of paper towels whilst crawling around on their hands and knees.

The drinks were an absolute rip off and I've been told the management have engaged in some very unethical tactics to make a quick buck at the expense of corporate customers.

Avoid this place at all costs, especially when there are so many decent and deserving other clubs and bars in the vicinity.
