Scrap Club

Scrap Club

When

15th June 2007

Where

Electrowerkz

Ever wanted to chuck your TV out the window? Take a hacksaw to your telephone? Bash your laptop with the business end of a sledgehammer? Don’t worry, you don’t need counselling – at least not yet, anyway – you just need Scrap Club.

Why you should go:
If you’ve ever felt the urge to crush all the technology that’s supposed to make your life easier into tiny little pieces, your definitely not alone. In fact, there’s a whole club night dedicated to just that. At Scrap Club you can beat and pulverise machinery to your heart’s content, all in the comforts of a London club.

Don’t miss:
It’s like Fight Club with a twist – you beat on technology, not people. Small groups are drawn from a hat and go to town on anything and everything smashable. Computers, televisions, DVD players – everything up to and including the kitchen sink.

All you need is provided for you, including goggles and gloves. And although you’re restricted to using the organiser’s tools of destruction, you can feel free to bring along some hated objects that are in need of a beating. Mobiles that won’t turn on, laptops that eat your work, the list is endless when you think about it.

Chill out:
Forget yoga, forget meditative breathing, forget heading down to the pub and getting absolutely pissed. The best way to de-stress is to let out all your anger the best way you know how – and with the bonus knowledge that you’re not really hurting anyone in the process. As a method of relaxation, Scrap Club can’t be beaten.

The next Scrap Club takes place from 10pm – 2am on 15th June 2007 at Electrowerkz. Tickets are £7.00. To purchase tickets click the button below.
