I go to Sin for Popstarz on a Friday. I like the venue so much more than Popstarz old venue (Scala). The staff are friendly and good looking. Some very cute boys! Even the security are friendly. The venue is shabby but that only adds to its charm. The night always fly's by and I can't wait for Friday to come around again.
I thought the Decadence & Disorder night on Saturdays seemed like it would be a bit of a laugh, but when we went it was terrible! The music was really bad (and being that we knew it was hair metal, that's saying a lot), the drinks were expensive and there were a lot of people there who left a lot to be desired. Seemed to be a lot of the over-40s desperate to relive their youth... and still wearing the same clothes!
Avoid this place at all costs. The rudest staff in the west end.
I hope that this place is shut down soon. The worst club I've been to in a long long time
In one word my thoughts on SIN are Sucked.
Blonde guy at the door was soooo rude! Get over yourself! Adam was lovely though.
I don't get how a club with so many floors and so much potential can get it so wrong. Why play the same music on every floor - doesn't that defeat the object? By 1am I was bored and wanted out!
SIN is a good night if you're looking for a chill night out. Went there on Friday and the queue was not too long. There are always promoters hanging about who will get you in for 10 quid instead of 15. After having a chat with our promoter whilst waiting in line I asked if I could get in free and he said yeah, while my mates had to pay 10 quid. No doubt that makes SIN's rating go up in my books.
The music was absolutely perfect. Lots of hip hop and house popular tracks from now and the 90's. Me and my mates had a blast dancing about and singing songs. The drinks were standard at 6 pounds for house spirits and mixers. Beats the 9 quid you pay at places like Camouflage.
People were generally good and there was only one fight that night which was quickly handled by bouncers. The staff are very polite, although the absolutely no coats inside policy is crap. The bar staff are attentive and it won't be long before you get your drinks.
SIN closes later than most clubs. that night it closed at 4am and sometimes even closes at 6am. Which is good if you can't get ready for 11pm to guarantee getting in like other london clubs. We went there last minute and got there a bit after 12am and still getting in was no problem.
As a girl expect to get grabbed and groped. I was and I advise bringing in a male friend who doesn't have a problem pretending to be your boyfriend.
Although the description says SIN has four rooms that night we were told there was only two. They were quite small and right next to each other. There was a VIP room that even though I asked about I did not get to see.
I queued up for about 30 minutes for SIN and they told me they wouldn't let me in because we were three guys with no girls! People go to a club to check out girls not to bring their own girls! That's the clubs job to get girls, not ours! Also in the queue I only saw ugly girls! So I doubt I'd try to get in to SIN again.
I thought SIN was good but all my girls told me they hated it when we left - I guess it was because they are all single and there were no decent looking men in there. Anyways the music was okay, the DJ kept repating the music in the RnB room. Other then that SIN was a good night out. It was expensive though. £15.00 to get in and drinks were pricey.
I went to SIN on Saturday for one of my chicks birthdays and have to say it's nothing like the reviews are saying! I got straight in the queue, paid a fiver to get in and although drinks were a little pricey, it was as I expected.
I found all the bouncers fairly friendly but not too friendly, if you get my drift! I had a wicked night and will definitely be going back! But, what's with the tiny RnB room? There is no room to move, but that's the only fault.
