Totally crap. The sound is pretty poor at the bit where all the live bands play. Totally loud one minute, and then an inaudible mash up the next. The drums are too loud, and the bands are all a bit cack. If you do hear anything remotely enjoyable you forget about it in a heartbeat. I felt like thumping someone in there the other night - namely the tart that carried on shouting, my ears are still ringing now. Way too small a venue for a big gob like that. Try mars sweetheart...I don't know about the other floors, my mate said there all a bit seedy, so I never going there again.I've read all the other reviews and I am a little surprised at how this club got any 5 Stars, probably little people on the club payroll.Look at all the s@it reviews and you will get the real picture.

I had a great night out. They do give a hard time for guys at the door but apart from it being so busy and hectic it ends up a nice mix of people. A little pricey but a cool place.

Easily the worst club or pub or night out i've ever had in my life. We ran to get to the club before 11pm to make use of the Oyster card deal that gets you in for £5. Upon getting there we were told that it was gone 11pm and were charged £20 for a ticket. I laughed this off, the price was lowered to £15 which I again laughed at until they charged us £10 each. At the bar I asked for the cheapest drink which came in the form of Australian bottled lager, horrible stuff for a nice £4.45. The layout actually looks quite nice, but 90% of the people inside give the place a sleazy and intimidating vibe, filled with slimey men trying to seek out the easy girls. Leaving in disgust after an hour and a half of expensive discomfort, I saw the next day on my ticket that the time we entered was infact 10.58. I am currently trying to find contact information for the club so i can get a refund but this is proving difficult. If you ever are considering going to Sound, don't. Instead stay in, spend £3 on a bottle of bleach and rub it in your eyes, you'll have more fun and save a lot of money!

Went there yesterday, the venue looked nice, (mordern, chic decor)
Most of the people were friendly a few arrogant ones though.
The DJ repeated some songs which I found really annoying, there weren't a variety of songs that was played.
After 30mins I was extremely bored. Seems as though you have to be really drunk to enjoy yourself, my friend was really drunk and she said she had a great time. I'm not going back there again unless I'm desperate.

The drinks are a bit pricey...but Sound on a Saturday night is worth it. Could dance ALL night here-3rd floor is def. the best. My girls and I have made it our once a month, girls-night-out place. A really hot club, literally.

Went to Sound Sat 8th March had a good nite because of the company and the music was good to have a boogie to. Spent most of the nite on the third floor, wasnt too crowded although trying to get to the toilets on the fifth floor took some time. Toilets however did not have a queue at all.

I have never seen so many sleezy men in the one place at the one time! Surrounding us on the dancefloor....if had not been for us laughing it off then I really wouldnt have enjoyed this club.

Would try somewhere different next time....

We went to Sound last Saturday for a gals night out and we had a good time. Very busy and a very big place. The top floor was really packed but the music was really good. Bar was a bithard to get drinks at but we went to the middle bar which was faster. The music in the big room was cool if you like electro and club stuff. Smoking outside is annoying but is London.

I went on a saturday night, and i was overall very disapointed,i mean i didnt expect to be amazed but what i found was extremely poor and will never go again.
The dancefloors in both small areas was unbareable,it smelt disgusting,im guessing the guests dont wash or something. But it was a hundred degrees, and you could only dance for about 20 mins or so. Being a club, you would have thought they could work on aircon.
But the worst point was the coat check, when coming to collect them at the end of the night. The guys organising it were THE rudest people i have probabley ever met,i have never been spoken to like that, they were pushing us around in an atemp to make us leave the club and just being disgustingly rude.
And this is simply unexceptable.
Just dont give these people your money, its arwful!!!!

We were talked into going to sound by a Promoter, on our way to another club, who told us that sound had four floors where as the other only had three. he didn't exactly lie but they only have TWO music things playing.. not four as we were led to believe.

if you want to be there when the good stuff starts, better stay past 1am. we had to leave early as a friend was ill but soon as we queued (for a very long time with rude bargy people) for our coats, the big tunes came. so that was disappointing

also... over a fiver for a Malibu&Pineapple. i was notttt impressed!

if u want RnB don't bother coming early, it takes a few hours for them to play the good stuff.

overall it wasnt a bad night. i just wont be in a hurry to be going there again. too many old people about as well!!!

Having read good reviews on the club's website I found this venue extremely disappointing. Whilst attempting to get to the top floor cloakroom we walked up the stairs dodging glass missiles from above only to find a queue that was even longer than outside. It took nearly half and hour to drop off our jackets. The drinks and service was actually quite good but the dance floors were crammed full of local home boys who smelt of BO. Air conditioning needs to be sorted and you have a long walk to toilets. Once we decided to leave we had to queue for another half and hour. Boy was it good to get fresh air and a MacDonalds

I love sound. I've been three times on a Saturday and they've all been fantastic. The crowd is fantastic, the atmosphere is electric. The drinks can be a little pricey.

The bar staff are lovely. (There are hot guys there too.) I must say the dancefloor is a little stuffy and hot but then again there are a lot of people. Sound has moved and to be honest I do prefer the old Sound to the new one. It's safe in Sound too with thorough bag checks. The only downfall is the walking distance to the toilets.

Sound London gets a bit hot and stuffy and I didn't like the crowd much. There would be about 10 boys and girls all dancing together in a disturbing fashion, if you get my drift.

There were lots of floors but I only stayed on one floor which was the RnB room I think. Didn't have much of a dance floor which I didn't like.

Drinks are reasonably priced and there's a guy there that takes your pictures for £3.00 who was very friendly. I asked him for some gum and he gave me 2.

I went to Sound last night for my 18th birthday after looking at so many clubs on the internet. Such a bad choice! The place itself as a club was okay - two main dancefloors, not badly kitted out. But, the music downstairs was cheesy and the DJ was apalling. He would stop tracks and there would be silence for about 2 minutes until he played the next track. The floor was full of tourists. Sound London is an absolute tourist trap! Upstairs the music was better(RnB) but full of the same kind of people.

All in all it was a poor night. Please avoid Sound, unless you are a tourist wanting a good night. We went in a fairly big group (6) of lads and got in fine, so that shows what kind of gender mix was present! No hot girls.
Bye.

I love Sound and love the music and the people. I thought the door staff were lovely, but the club is very hot. The drinks were not too expensive, there was different music for everyone. The Sound bathrooms are a joke.

We visit London to go clubbing once a month and always end up in Sound, We love it, love it, love it, love it, love it.

Oh my days Sound London is by far the worst club I have ever been to in my entire life. It sure does not live up its name. The sound system is awful, you would be better off playing your radio. £8.00 is a rip off and the most diabolical thing I have ever seen was that you have to walk down four floors for the toilets. I believe this sums up Sound nicely.

The management of Sound London was poor, there was a guestlist bundle and the doorman wasn't too friendly. We ran to the fith floor avoiding the floors playing YMCA, and was disappointed with the slow RnB playing. It gradually got better after we hassled the DJ, although he did repeat a few songs.

It took 30 minutes to get out of the Sound London at the end and people were kicking glass down the stairs onto the crowd whilst security were ignoring it. I must say I've been to better clubs in London.

Went to Sound last week, and didn’t know what to expect having heard mixed reviews about the place. The night started pretty well with a member of a hen party asking for my underwear and a kiss within minutes. However, after a while it seemed to settle in the usual tourist trap Square sort of place. The main dance floor at Sound was kind of sweaty but with some ace dancers. Come 2am it sort of settled in a mass of blokes hunting, so duly left..

Sound is horrible and full of men who sit around and watch you dancing or try to get close to you. The music is crap too, they play the same tunes over and over again and the dance floor is tiny with too many chairs everywhere. Sound is not my cup of tea!

What a strange experience I had at Sound! I was out for my younger sister's 21st and 18 of us (girls and blokes) went to Sound Bar for a few drinks, looking foward to a good night out, before moving onto a club. The bar staff were lovely and the actual bar area was really nice. Unfortunately it was full of young cocky idiots!

We couldn't work out whether these idiots were eyeing up our men to come on to them or start a fight! I have never been in a bar and made to feel so uncomfortable! They all had jack the lad attitudes, like they owned the place. We managed to stay in Sound Bar long enough to finish our first drinks and then gladly left for somewhere worth spending your time.
It's a shame, the place was full of people like that.

We won't be going back to Sound and I certainly wouldn't recommend it to anybody I know!

Sound has a great atmosphere and the music is great but the dancefloor is absolutely tiny. The majority of Sound is filled up with seating with the tiny dancefloor in the middle. It would be a fun place to go to at the start of the night, have a few cocktails then move on to a larger venue.

It can feel a bit off putting when guys just sit down and watch you dancing. A lot of guys in comparison to the amount of girls.

Went out on Saturday night with some friends and spent about 30 minutes trying to find a club to everyone's liking before settling on Sound. Sound is awesome for anyone looking for a fun night out. When we went there on Saturday it was RnB, hip hop, and old skool.

The dance floor was cramped but then it is a club! There is always the option of showing off your dancing skills around the tables as well (which is what we did). The drinks at Sound were alright in price but the bottled water was daylight robbery!

Sound gets really hot especially if you are dancing a lot. Seats are usually available and the bar food menus are handy to use as cooling fans!

Sound is an awesome bar and the music is fantastic. The bar at Sound is nice and big but doesn't dominate the place. The dance floor is where it all happens, the djs have the place pumping until the wee hours. I always have a good time at Sound. If you get there early you get in free and they have happy hour!

A group of us went to Sound on Saturday, and we were badly disappointed. Having been there several times before, we were made to wait at the door for 15 minutes, so at 10:30 they could bump the price up. We then got inside to find that half the club was now closed down (the 80's room). This room easily filled out on Saturday nights, and had a bigger dance floor to the main room. It also had two bars and effectively could have passed as a club in its own right. To slice the club in half is clearly a ploy by the owners to half the staff and the overheads (lighting/music/electricity). This in part was probably due to slack bar sales in the 80's room. Nevertheless, to charge the same amount for HALF the club and HALF the atmosphere, and pack you in like a sardine tin is a cheek. BEWARE.

There was a time when I was a trifle too punk for spots like Sound. Those were the days when I wouldn’t leave the house if my shoes were unscuffed or my hair unspiked. But between you and me, sometimes I’d blow out Black Sabbath and sneak off with my jazz funk pals for a bit of D.I.S.C.O. And where better to still shake a leg than at Club Fantastic, where the tunes take me back to the days when I’d hide my Abba singles between the AC/DC and Anti-Nowhere League ones?

It seems like a friendly crowd who come here to party, and nobody has that bored scowl that seems to be the dress code of some of the best-dressed discos in town. As for the reviewer who whined that the DJs don’t play any Nirvana or any ‘authentic’ 80s bands, take it from someone who was there when the grunge bandwagon rolled into town from Seattle…yes, I’m glad that I was around for it. But I’m even gladder not to hear Kurt and co when I go out for a knees-up.

Alas, the DJ at Club Fantastic didn’t play my request for Cerrone’s Supernature, which is why I’m withholding the final star. Apart from that it does exactly what it says on the packet!

Sound is home on a Friday night to SchoolDisco.com's retro/pop event.
Either come in full school uniform or a variation of your choice but entry is not permitted without a stripey school tie - which, by the way, they sell on the door!
Make sure the door you go to is the one in Wardour Street, around the corner from the entrance facing the square.

Prepare for a night of cheese, mostly for a young crowd but anything goes here and the music is fun and sing-a-long. The 'teachers' will come on stage to get the crowd going with some dancing and celebratory birthday cake for any birthday girls and boys.
Drinks are not too badly priced for this famous club, a bottle of house white is around £12 and beers or alcho-pops are no more than £4.
