Went here for the comedy club this Saturday - absolutely brilliant, I can see why they won Best London Comedy Club! A cracking birthday night out, my compliments to the staff!
Poor, overpriced club with a terrible host. I felt sorry for the acts. Two of them could have been funny but we couldn't hear them over the two hen nights who cackled and talked the whole night. We'll go to a better run night next time.
I loved Storm Nightclub! I went to Storm Nightclub with a group of 10 for my 21st birthday and we all had a great time! Decent crowd, good music, reasonable entrance fee. The people at the door were not rude like at other clubs :-) open til 5 am on Friday and Saturday nights which is a gem in London. Definitely will be back very soon! Highly recommended!
It's a place to avoid.. very pricey and door man is rude and have no manners..plus loads of kids go there who have no manners.. bouncer had a fight he he start being rude with us for laughing when he was swearing ..he gave me the big face as threaten why to laugh..very bad music and crow..a place not to waste time to..i would't recommend it to anyone...NEVER AGAIN
Storm is a great club and I'll give it top recommendations,
we got there at about 11:30 it was a bit dead but by about 12:00 it was live, the music (r&B UKG) was good and full af friendly people there was no trouble.
I would denfinatly go again, the only down side is that the drinks were really expensive...but what do you expect went you go clubing in the west end lol.
Proper underground style club. Like the vybe!!
I dont do all this posing, bling, pretending to be a millionaire crap so this place is all good.
Drink are pretty cheap, music is banging and the crowd was wicked. This really is clubbing like it should to be!!
If ur lookin for a night out in central London u could do a lot worse than this place.
If ur wearin a shit loada bling and have an attitude, don't bother, it ain't 4 u and u'll spoil it 4 the rest of us. Peace.
I went to Storm for my birthday 19/09/2009.....we did plan to go but we are so glad we did, very friendly bubbly crowd nice atmosphere.
When the manager found out it was my birthday he sent over a bottle of bubbly FREE!!!The music is very good, a mixture of R&B, Reggae, Hip Hop Funky House & UK garage, the DJ was brilliant and played every song i requested.
The drinks are resonably priced compared to some places i have been in the west end they also do cocktails, if what you want is not on the list just ask.
The thing i liked most about this club??? it shuts @ 5 which was great considering the club i was going to originally closed @ 3We all had a great time & cant wait to go back! in fact were going back this weekend, dont listen to negative reviews - you cant please some people - check it out for yourself!
oh and dont forget to take advantage of the free membership enjoy!
I went to Storm two weeks ago on a Saturday for my birthday I had such a great night I became a member...
Ive been there a few times but its Fridays and Saturdays that do it for me and the girls...
Takes an hour or so to get busy but once it does there's a good vibe...so its worth hanging around a bit till it picks up...drinks are affordable, good mixture of music, free membership (which u really do benefit from), only £1 for cloakroom, open most days of the week, decent mixed crowed and friendly faced staff...
I'd say its pretty much an all rounder, ticks all the boxes for me....best thing is its open till 5am!! Only downside is my feet killing me after 5 hours of dancing :)
Good bar if you like R&B and you can dance like Usher, otherwise you will just feel stupid and out of place. The drinks on the bar are cheap and poor quality. Ok club, just not my style
We payed a tenner to get in here, and didnt really think it was worth it, but it was still decent. We went on a saturday night and they played good music. Dont know if id come back here though...unless it was free entry....
I went to Storm last night with high expectations and they were not in any shape or form met.
The only remotely good thing to say about it is that the entry was only £3 and that includes a free shot but it is no surprise that it is so cheap because it's so rubbish and noone in their right mind would pay anything more than that to go there. It is true that the ratio of boys to girls is very uneven, with a predominantly male crowd and as a girl this was not too bad.
Having said that, there were approximately 30 people in the whole club, which is small anyway but this was most disappointing. If I could give this club zero stars then I would.
If you're looking for a hurrendous night out, then Storm is the place for you. There are three words to describe this place in a nutshell: sleezy, stinky and sweaty.
i have been to this club many times on a saturday. Always a good atmosphere and never any trouble. Drinks are good value and the Music is a mixture of hip hop, garage and rnb. The DJ's always put something specific on though if you ask.
Only downside is that the club is fairly small. However there are sofas to sit on if your tired, relaxed about the dress code, excellent vibe and you can even go there alone cause everyone is so friendly.
My favourite place to go! You should def try it out.
went for a comedy night a few weeks ago with friends...
comedy was fantastic Henning Wehn made us cry with laughter.
after the comedy Storm turned into a nightclub, open really late i think we staggered out at 4ish?
had a great night out, dj kept the floor filled til the early hours.
we liked the back bar for taking a breather.
this was lke the ghetto bar of the hole of london,, prices were okay,, but its got loads of bois at lyk 25 yrs old standing round the dancce floor rapping, looking and groaping,, not very good reallly
I went to storm on my birthday in june and i had such a wicked time there...
i wasnt on planning on going here but 1 of the guys who was promoting it gave us discount so we thought ok...
at 1st i thought it was a bit small and there wer hardly any people,
but it soon livened up from 1-3 when people are coming out of the clubs that are closing, i mean its open untill 5.
The staff were very friendly, the DJ was rude but thats it.
The cloakroom is free for ladies haha =D
But i have 2 agree they did repeat a couple of tunes which got annoying but it was all good.
Oh and to the people below saying that 3.50 for a bottle of beer is expensive, well yeh it is but c'mon its central london for crying out loud what do you expeact?
Im going again soon!
Wish there was a zero rating for storm. Anyone that went there when it was full of annoying people was lucky, we went on a saturday at 1am and there was only 8 people in there.. But I'll be going back this week... my toilet is broke and I need to s**t on something
Went there yesterday, the venue looked nice, (mordern, chic decor)
Most of the people were friendly a few arrogant ones though.
The DJ repeated some songs which I found really annoying, there weren't a variety of songs that was played.
After 30mins I was extremely bored. Seems as though you have to be really drunk to enjoy yourself, my friend was really drunk and she said she had a great time. I'm not going back there again unless I'm desperate.
storm well its a laugh, most people there r regulars so u get to know new people and although tunes get played twice its still heavy, but i have to agreee wit some people that guys do only go there to pull and it does get annoying being pulled left and right but i suppose wen u go ravin wit a girl in hot pants ur askin for it lol but neway everyone shld give it ago JUST GET DRUNK XXXX
We went on a Saturday night. The music was good although the DJs need to listen to what the others play. A few songs were repeated but they were tunes.
The people in there are wicked. You get a lot of men trying it on with you but most of them are really good natured and up for a laugh. If you tell them to piss off they do.
I had a jokes time out and would recommend it to people.
I went to Storm for my birthday. When we first entered I could see that the ratio of men to women was like 9:1. There were too many guys grabbing you and giving unwanted attention. The price to get in is £10, the drinks were priced okay. The room and bar at the back was a nice place to chill for a little bit. The bar staff were kind but there was too many foreign people though. I don't have a problem with this but it's just that no one understood me. I would go here if I was desperate.
Right, let me explain something about this club right here. First of all when I started going to Storm I thought it was alright but last Saturday proved me wrong.
I went to the toilets because my belly was hurting and my nieces came in to check on me. Then all of a sudden a new bouncer came in and told us to get out. He picked me up by my clothes and escorted me out. When we got to the cloakroom part of the club I stopped to ask why I was getting chucked out. He told me to shut the f*** up and get out! The bouncers in there are too rough, too rude and too out of order.
The people in there are so out of order as well, I'd love to chat a whole heap of crap about people in there! I don't think I'll be touching Storm again. Well not for a while anyways!
What's going on? Whats poppin'? Listen, Storm is heavyweight. You get chicks and cheap drinks. The music is banging and the doormen are cool. I go there Monday to Sunday that's how much I think it's good.
If you want a good night out this is the place because I'm telling you it's all about Storm. Wherever you go it's about what you make it. You feel me? So if you're sad you will have a crap time, but if you're happy you will have a great time. Peace out.
Storm is terrible. The place is full of people who literally grab girls in a vague attempt to pull. I went to Storm with some friends and it was the biggest waste of money ever. A bottled beer £3.50? Are you having a laugh?
Storm is soooo shit, the atmosphere is nasty, people can't dance to save their lives and too many foreign people in there. It's crap, don't go to Storm!
If you want somewhere to go don't bother going to Storm, it's just a waste of a good night and of good drink money.
Storm is just the worst place I have been to, the music was rubbish - in 4 hours I'd heard the same song 6 times! Whether it was just a one off or not I don't know but it has seriously put me off the S**T hole for good.
Storm is the 1! I go there most weekends (Fridays & Saturdays) and I always have a wicked time! There are hardly ever any fights and even if there is they soon get dealt with and people forget about them and just carry on partying! Drinks at Storm are fairly priced and the people...well, what can I say?...You get a mix of young (too young to be in there)...middle aged...good for a laugh and old...(spending their pension kind of old). Anyway everytime I go, I have a drink or two (actually quite a few), end up getting wrecked and chatting to everyone!
So next time you go to Storm on a Friday or Saturday, look out for the girl who loves to drink, dance and talk!
Yeah I like Storm. If you're lookin for a place you can just chill out, listen to some music and have a little dance when you're a bit tipsy, Storm's for you. It has friendly, chilled out people who go there for just the same reason. If you're the deadly serious dancer clubber, or the desperate type who is always on the pull type you may aswell go somewhere else. When I go, I enjoy kickin' back on the sofa, havin a drink and chattin to my mates. There are some nice girls that go there, you can pull if you want but don't be too forceful because that's against the whole atomosphere of the place. It's open til 5/6am aswell so it's a cool place.
Thursday nights at Storm are great if you're looking for a bit of retro. Although not the largest space, a real effort's been made to transport you back to a time of mullets and tight jeans, with even the odd special guest performance or two.
The music's a fantastic mix of 70s, 80s & 90s, with even the odd surprise thrown in there for good measure.
All the staff are friendly, ok the drinks may not be the cheapest, but who cares when you're dancing to the likes of Pulp, the Bee Gees and Rick Astley! Great fun and atmosphere!
Been down a couple of times and I'd strongly recommend this night to any one with a disco or 80s beat in their heart!
There's a new 80s night at Storm now which absolutely rocks. It's on Thursday nights and I've been a few times now. The atmosphere is great, with everyone up for dancing and having a good time. As for not being a great place to pull, I don't know about that but I'm glad (I hate meat markets). This is a good place to come for retro pop, rock and all those old classics you'd nearly forgotten. The DJ is responsive to requests, and they've obviously gone to a lot of effort to set the scene. Check it out! You might even meet a famous 80s icon.
Not cheap, but not overpriced: this is Central London - get used to it. Oh, and they had some comedy troupe on recently, and they went down a, ahem, storm! Go see.
Where do I start when describing Storm? This club is cool with nice girls and nice drinks.
If you're looking for a good night out then come to this club because it provides very good music and the DJs are fresh. Overall, I would say this is one of the best clubs around London. I am here most weekends and it's worth it and for the guys looking for ladies this is the place to be. For the ladies: I am here waiting so drop by Storm and let's do this.
I went to Storm last Friday and had one of the best nights out in a while! We had originally gone to Q bar but left after 20 mins, it was crap! My first impressions of Storm was it looked a bit seedy but the staff and people there are all really friendly and the music was really good! And it was open till 5! I definitely will be going back, and recommend it to aynone who likes RnB and bashment!
I went to Storm in Leicester square on a Saturday night about three weeks ago. we were going to NYT for my friend's birthday and wanted somewhere to go for a drink while we waited for others to arrive. As Yates was charging £5 on the door we went here for a warm up drink and dance first as it was free before 11. The door staff are really friendly. Wine was £15 a bottle. There was only one room but the dance floor was a really good size. The decor was nothing special, however the music was suprisingly good - quite commercial pop and r'n'b.
The crowd was quite a mixed bunch, few groups of teenage girls, some mixed groups ages varied from 18 up to mid/late twenties, kind of a motley crew - but still a nice atmosphere. I would reccomend this place for a standard cheap night out. Overall a solid basement kind of club and when we left to go to NYT at around 12.15, there was actually quite a big queue to get in - not sure how much it is if you go after 11pm though.
