I visited your club with 13 girls for my sisters hen party, and I have to say, the club have the rudest and most unhelpful staff I have ever come across! You didn't remember our party on the guestlist, nor did you provide the booth which we had booked! I asked to see the manager, a lady appeared, she was very rude and very unhelpful. We eventually found a table, ordered a round of drinks (expensive double G&ts) and the table was so unstable, every drink we had just ordered ended up on the floor. I asked to see the manager again, to ask them to replace the drinks, and they said they would, the bar person, then handed us one lemonade! Lemonade! I complained again, only to be told it was our fault the table was unstable! There was really no talking to the manager. The place is really very shabby. The drinks taste watered down and the music is beyond cheesy! The Monkeys I ask you! Awful awful awful! I and the party were thoroughly disapointed with everything about Strawberry Moons and will be advising everybody we know, not to waste their time or money visiting the place.
Had my hen do here on Saturday night, and it was brilliant. Music was a good mix of old and new, bar staff helpful and atmosphere good. There were a lot of other hen parties there as well, which may bother some people but it didnt me at all!! Used the stage quite a few times throughout the night, overall fab send off into married life!!!
I went to Strawberry moons bar on Saturdau for a hen night and was absolutley disgusted with how we were treated and how rude the staff were. We went there in the day to decorate the aera we had booked and paid for, when we walked in the staff were very rude and unhelpful but we ignored it and put it down to the fact that they were busy openign up. When we booked the area and got guest list we were told thats guest list would enable us to que jump (it also states this on there website) but we was told we would need to get there before 8pm so we did and was told by the bouncer at the door to join the que, we tried to explain we have pre booked etc but he completely ignored what we were saying and kept repaeatign get in the que! so we went and spoke to the manager who was just at rude and by which time is was 8:03pm so was told we awould all have to pay! eventually we got in and 20 girls together we did start to enjoy ourselves we even ignored the fact that our area was below the stage so each time someone got up to dance on the podium we were smothered by screaming women! and that still the bar staff were just rude and un friendly! but when the night was comign to an end and our paid for reserved area was over taken but a bunch of girls that were not the with us the bouncers took no notice and ended up chhuckign us out!!! i was literally thrown out myarm pulled up behind my back! i would call that assult! so all in al this club is horrific! the staff are very rude and i would never ever go there again! oh one more thing they can not check ID in there cause there seemed to be a lot of under 18 year olds!
We came to this bar to review the place for an large event. The bar staff were very rude, the drinks tasted watered down, and we're completely different depending on who you ordered it from. The manager seemed even worse, she had no customer service skills at all and came across dis-interested in assisting us with any queries we had. I could never hold any event at this place, or even come here in a personal capacity. We ended up going across the road to the Living Room and having a great time. Would suggest that this place needs a complete change for it to improve at all.
I went here last night on a hen night, there were 10 of us and I have to say, it was brilliant! From when I first booked our table weeks ago, all the way through to the end of the night the staff were really helpful, the girls in the office I spoke to, the bar staff, the ladies on the door and even the bouncers! The service was quick, the cocktails were lovely, not too expensive, the music was good, the atmosphere was brilliant! Would definately recommend it!
Me and my 6 friends went to Strawberry Moons on a Saturday. It was PACKED! Not comfertable packed, but as in couldn't move packed. They clearly let way too many people in.
It was £2 to put my coat in, which was ok, but the que for coats was huge.
Can't comment on the bouncers or door people as I didn't come into contact with them. Ther was about 3 people in front of us when we got there at about 11pm, which was good, I hate queing! It was £10 to get in. The music was ok, but you couldn't dance or anything as it was so crouded in there.
It is also full of letchy guys. I was standing on my own for 5 minutes and so many guys kept grabbing me. There were a few weirdos in there, who don't understand the word boyfriend!
It would have been much betterif it hadn't been so crouded in there. Can't say I will be rushing back there.
I went there last saturday and was one of the best nights out in London for me!
Music was great, staff lovely and prices no to expensive.
Can say i will come back there with pleasure!
It's quite small and really packed. drinks are a good price but theres only one podium in front of everyone!! my advice only go on there unless you're a pro!
Strawberry moons is the perfect location for a hen night, birthday celebration or just a night out with the girls to let off some steam and have a bit of a boogy on the (pretty small) dancefloor. Drinks aren't particularly expensive for the area, and a bargain during happy hour. If you're looking for a sleek, sophisticated venue then you might be better off avoiding Strawberry Moons, but for a fun night out full of glitter and disco then this is the place!
It was my 30th Birthday Party last Saturday, all of us have a great night. Friendly staff, great cheesy music and some unbelievable surprise performance.
If you a looking for a place to go for Friday or Saturday Night fever, this will be the best choice.
boy what a night last week. i can safley say I have never had a better night out in London. The club was full of nice people without the attitude. The staff were great and the music super cheesy. thanks guys for the great night. !!
About 3 years ago was my last visit to this club. I used to come about once a month before then so thought after so long I'd check it out for old times sake. What a huge mistake.
This used to be the most fun, fresh and entertaining bar in London. What Happened?
The club, I heard, had been taken over from a family business to a Company called Urbiam. Everything started to make sense. In my opinion, Urbiam are solely responsible for destroying the originality of the West End. I believe they own around 50 bars & clubs.
Gone were the original cocktails served with premium alcohol and in were shoddy, disgusting, run-of-the-mill pap with the cheapest generic booze known to man! Gone are the fantastic DJs (DJ BoyWonder used to headline here at the weekends and people would come from all over to listen to his amazing sets and awesome mixes) and in are the PLAY, STOP, WAIT, PLAY DJ's (if you can call them that. A computer would be better). I can't believe how truly awful this place has become.
The staff used to look like they were really enjoying themselves, dancing on the bar and having fun. Whereas now they all look like someone has just told them that their Mum has died.
Avoid this bar! I came here for after work birthday drinks with a group of about ten people during the Happy Hour yet each time we ordered our drinks we were charged full price and had to complain. This happened a couple of times to each of us, charging one person £8 for a vodka and lemonade which should have been £2.30!
I certainly will not be visiting this bar again.
I have been to this club before where me and my friends had a really good time and the music was great. This was about a year ago when I had just turned 18 and this was the first club I'd ever been to.
I revisited the club on the 7th July and have never been so disappointed with a DJ's 'set'. Long pauses betweens tracks, no mixing of songs, poor variety and a tacky stage presence. I understand that the club specialises in hen nights but the whole night seemed to revolve around this which to me is a lack of entertainment organisation.
Since my first visit I have been to many clubs and this is by far my worst clubbing experience, and it didn't come cheap. To improve they should suggest a younger and more sophisticated DJ and a restructure of the evening's entertainment. If not then they should lower prices and not falsely advertise themselves as a classy club.
The first thing that struck me about Strawberry Moons (I hadn't even entered the venue) as to just how very rude the staff were. Having worked in the clubbing industry myself I have met all manners of door staff. These, however, excelled themselves for elevated opinions and just a badass attitude! The only member of staff who was obviously not listening at staff training was the barman, he was damn good at his job - top marks to him.
The decor really wasn't at all impressive - I think that was their intention. I have to disagree with what others said, I liked the people on the night and if it had not been for them then I would never have been able to deal with the cheesy tunes and extreme heat. Would I go again? No. Life is far too short to make silly mistakes like that again.
Strawberry Moons is a big, big disappointment. Don't let the ocassional good reviews fool you. I put myself and my group of friends on the guestlist for my 21st birthday, and arrived in a good mood. This was all changed when we were refused entry, even though we said we were on the guestlist, and when asked why we were just given a really dirty look and just not given a reason.
We asked to see the manager, and they told us the manager didn't want to see us. They were so rude and obnoxious it was unbelievable! It totally ruined the first part of my birthday, but luckily we went to another club, after being refused entry by two other clubs since it was guestlist only, and had a brilliant time anyway.
I definitely, definitely will not be going anywhere near this pretentious Strawberry Moons ever again.
We went to Strawberry Moons for the first night of my hen weekend. It was wicked, very hot and stuffy, but wicked! I got a hen pack when I got there and a bottle of champagne, plus, the man selling shots was very lovely! We pole danced and did all sorts! Strawberry Moons was fantastic.
Strawberry Moons was cheesy, fun and a good laugh. We had no problem with our booking and the free party pack they gave the hen was very fun with silly dares and handcuffs.
The balance of music was perfect as they played a bit of everything. The bar staff were very good especially when they knew it was my sisters hen night, getting her up on stage and making her do all sorts.
The only thing I found wrong with Strawberry Moons was the amount of people they cram in, and towards the end of the night it was extremly hot! It was definitley perfect for a good girly night out.
Strawberry Moons is a cute club with cheesy charm, yet absolutely horrible bouncers that unnecessarily questioned a girl in our party's ID. Also, Strawberry Moons has not enough spaces to sit down, and so my feet hurt towards the end of the night. It was cheerful and friendly overall.
I think Strawberry Moons is great. Although, you have to be quite drunk to enjoy it and you should only go there on Fridays.
The staff are normally good. I went there twice in seven months and they recognised me, and remembered what I drink. Strawberry Moons does get very busy, and recently the age group is a lot younger than it used to be.
Yeah, I was a bit disappointed in Strawberry Moons having heard it was one of the better places to go to. Unfortunately and for my sins I went on a hen night.
I found the Strawberry Moons really busy with no room to sit or stand. And to top it off there was a massive fight. I would go again but I would make sure I got a seat so I could rest my weary dancing legs. It is also full of blokes who think it’s great to feel you up.
I found the Strawberry Moons very disappointing. The staff were unhelpful. The atmosphere was stuffy and overcrowded. All in all it was very below par compared with other venues in London. I certainly wouldn't go again to Strawberry Moons again.
Strawberry Moons was wicked! A group of us went for a mates birthday and everyone was so nice. My friend got in free as she was the birthday girl and the poor guy selling the shots of vodka took a lot of drunken groping from us girls! Would most definitely be going again to Strawberry Moons!
Strawberry Moons is such a terrible place that, upon walking in, I glanced regally at my surroundings and at the crowd, then performed a 180 about face and was promptly prevented from leaving by my friend and the door-staff!
Upon meeting my work colleagues for one of their number's birthday, I immediately headed to the bar to imbibe enough alcohol to be able to cope with the ghastly spectacle and the aural hallucination of Rick Astley 'Never Going To Give You Up' being played at 21:00pm on a Friday night. y friend, once again, valiantly (the fool!) put his arm around me to prevent me from vacating the place that very instant. After 3-4 drinks I started warming to the atmosphere (or was it drinking extremely fast and nervously?)
I was surprised at how small, how faux-opulent Strawberry Moons was, and just how down-right trashy! I nearly demanded my £5.00 back which was tauntamount to highway robbery! The clientele? Aside from the Oriental girl with the wonderful black, fine hair to her neck, they were all home counties types or those who really didn't know any better. <>
For anyone harbouring nostalgic memories that the scene, 'sn't as good as it used to be'(me included), you really need to visit Strawberry Moon to remind yourself how bad things could be. It is utterly and iredeemably crap and not even in an ironic fashion.
Strawberry Moons is nice but I didn't enjoy my night as the dance floor was far too packed and the amount of teeny boppers was unbelievable on a Wednesday night!
My friends and I couldn't dance without someone barging through us. I was really disappointed and I don't think I will be going to Strawberry Moons again. Terrible!
I went to Strawberry Moons last Friday. I must admit I was pretty bevvied by the time I got there, but myself and my friends had a great time and I've persuaded a different group of friends to go to Strawberry Moons tonight.
Music was great fun and drinks were reasonably priced for London. If you want a bit of cheese to dance to and have a great night, then I recommend Strawberry Moons.
I absolutely agree with the 05 Sept review of Strawberry Moons - there are lots of different areas but none of them are unique or interesting. The entry fee was preposterous.
My friend and I were constantly approached by desperate men which was really off-putting and the music was nondescript and bland.
My verdict? Don't go to Strawberry Moons unless your name is Sharon from Bromley or Tracey from Bermondsey.
I was not impressed with Strawberry Moons on a Friday night. The music was absolutely dire, not at all suited for the bootyshaking night out my friends and I were after. I would describe it as regurgitated trash pop.
The place was so packed that it was impossible to dance, and we got elbowed so many times and left with bruises! The people were ok..but if you are on the pull do not go here becuase your unlikely to find a nice looking decent guy in the place! Eye candy was very dissapointing, even though most women were well turned out.
There are a few of the so-called 'bromley/essex type' scrubbers so don't expect a friendly atmosphere! It's a shame becuase Strawberry Moons is a fantastic venue with such potential. Note to the DJ - update your music library!
I found that Strawberry Moons seemed to be a place for white trash in my opinion. Most of the people working there were nice but I had an argument with one of the door women who in my opinion wanted to hold me for too long. I would never go to Strawberry Moons again, it's only for white trash in my opinion.
When I went to Strawberry Moons, I got thrown out because I was wearing a tracksuit.
I think this behaviour is disgusting. We should be able to wear what we want. I was going to book a party at Strawberry Moons but now I'm taking my money elsewhere.
I had one of the best nights of my life at Strawberry Moons. It was recommended to me and was just amazing. I have to say I felt the opposite to Christian, whose review was rubbish. Also by the sound of him he couldn't get into China White if he wanted to. And to be honest I'd rather go to Strawberry Moons! Will definitely be back!
I had heard that Strawberry Moons was the new place to go for after work drinks and was a bit hesitant, but it really is fantastic. The happy hour is unbelievable and the atmosphere is cool as well. I will be back at Strawberry Moons and suggest you check it out for yourself.
WHAT A DUMP! Strawberry Moons is such a DUMP, I have never been somewhere where they are trying so hard to be something they are definitely not, it's not Penthouse, Chinawhite or Funky Buddah full of celebs! Strawberry Moons is a pokey little bar with cheap and tack surroundings.
Strawberry Moons was great. Amazing.
Hi i went to Strawberry Moons last year for a hen night and it was great. They made sure we were looked after and had fun. Strawberry Moons is a friendly and comfortable place.
Wow! Strawberry Moons is unpretentious, friendly and has its own special charm. It might be a bit cheesy but the smiles of the staff and the atmosphere at Strawberry Moons is second to none. Go if you're up for a laugh and a fantastic night!
Strawberry Moons is a great bar. The Friday nights are excellent and the bar and door staff are very professional. This bar is all about fun and that means getting drunk and trying to pull. First class.
I went to Strawberry Moons before Christmas and it is one of the best places I have been in ages. The drinks were a good price (75% discount using token), the music was brilliant, and the people were friendly. Last but not least the staff were great! Everyone was friendly, polite and up for a laugh even the guy who worked in the store room. However, this review is not reliable because I was thrown out at 10pm due to excessive alcohol consumption. I blame the token, however the security and the toilet attendant were quality. Hope to go back soon and spend a longer duration there.
WOW! Went to Strawberry Moons on Saturday 20th Nov for my 21st birthday and it was more than I could have hoped for. I was really dubious at first, but if you are after a girls' night out, this is the perfect place!
There was a tiny mix up at the door with guest lists as I was on the normal one but my friends had worked it so we were on the VIP guest list but it wasn't their fault and the staff were very helpful with friendly doormen! Went through and we were pleasantly surprised the drinks were so reasonable I think the 5 of us spent £30 each all night that was including a bottle of pink champagne!
Fantastic music too, all sorts of different types that you could dance to sing along with etc! Was quite surprised as there seemed to be a very high ratio of men to women!? But everyone who was there was friendly and out for just as good a night as we were! I would really rate this for all round fun night! Fantastic!
Asolutely hideous place, full of alchopop slurping teens and sleazy suits trying to get their leg over. The staff aren't much better, notably the doormen who take a very rough approach to their jobs. If you have any self-respect, do not go to Strawberry Moons.
Absolutely the best atmosphere in town on a friday night. The staff are still jokey at half 2 in the morning and the attraction of friendly people to this club makes it even better.
Went to Strawberry Moons on Friday night, it was a great night, great music and great company. The music, although great, is very cheesy...you will know all the songs, so a fun time will be had by all to sing and dance.
Without being too crude, a definite pull for any guy or gal up for it. Do make an effort when it comes to your outfit - apart from people appreciating you making the effort you could also go home with a few numbers.
Cocktails were wonderful - and happy hour does not help... obviously trying to get as many in before 7.30 can be a bit of a chore but well worth it!
Go with lots of friends or even just one friend, but if you are a close bunch it's a great party night.
Strawberry Moons is an absolutely first class night out, very friendly and very busy but the music and staff are just wonderful. One of the best atmospheres I have ever found in London...
