Louis Brown was a La Vallbone witha swimming pool and carribean steel band and a champane romantic room and elegent setting i spent from 1909 to 1988 till the Dogs took over the brewrey what the hell they know about running a decent club Mr Brown had classand i met lot of celenerty there and it was the most exciting club ever in london as so much space and so much to do not like the to day pushing drinks like thet did in the place called Regene open inkensinton but failed because they were unprofessional so it wentdown. This stodio valbonne is opened by DESPERADO'S who want tocon people. There will not be a club like MR BROWN CLUB LA VALLBONNEZAFAR JEFF QURESHI A LOYAL EXECETIVE MEMDER OF THE PAST
I was at Studio Valbonne on Saturday 23rd July and was seriously unimpressed. Drink prices are way over the odds and DO NOT match up to the rude and surely service at all. If you want more wank than swank, then this is your club.
Its full of people trying to be cool who aren't, girls with too much make up who really should hit the gym if they want to actually look good in the clothes they wore rather than fat slappers and just generally an all round weird venue.
We had a table reserved with an ice bucket and a drinks menu. I ordered a bottle of wine at the bar to be told I couldn't take it back to our table; instead we had to go to the bar when for refills!! Drinks are served in plastic wine glasses and tumblers - for a minute I was confused as to whether I was on a picnic. They really focus on getting people to buy magnums of spirits and champagne here, so only had 1 white, red and rose French table wine - which was truly awful - even more so out of my plastic glass - BTW a 175ml costs £6.
DJ seemed to only play 60 seconds of a song before mixing in the next one, which really didn't work.
I would not go back.
What a shit club! With that UGLY thing standing at the door not letting anyone coloured in shen she is black herself! She is a so ugly that I don't understand why any club would have her at the front door she should be working in the toilets! While all these other westend clubs have lovely girls at the door this one didn't! So decided not to go in cos she was soo ugly with her fake hair and her nasty looking self! And the bouncers seem like boys standing next to her! She's prob on 7£ thinking she's hot stuff! No love u gotta work last on weekends! Anyway went Merah wicked night! Studio v should not even be in westend! Haaa!
Only go here if you want all your stuff stolen. The 'VIP'area is filled with professional thieves who hang out in order to prey upon those that actually work and EARN money!
Review below, get a life, guys like girls like that, go hit the gym and stop hating!
Went there with some friends, we managed to get in for free because we knew a promoter. Studio Valbonne is filled with wannabe rappers and their skanky prostitute lady friends. Disgusting half naked girls wanting attention from anything with a pulse and rude staff. The decor was ok as we were in the raised section there was a man who kept on clearing up empty, broken and spilled glasses. The dj was pathetic and couldn't mix for his life my grandma could probably do a better job. They played alot of commercial charts music which can get abit boring as I like to here something different instead of a radio stations playlist. I wouldn't go again.
I went to Studio Valbonne last Friday finding out about the Hollywood themed night they were holding via their Facebook Page ' Studio Valbonne Fridays'. Some of the promoters let my group join their table which was great & allowed us to grab afew drinks for free; always a plus. The music was great; really commercial none of this rubbish urban music played in the majority of clubs at the moment and all the sparklers they have during the night make it really special for a people, something like a firework display. I am considering going again this week especially that it was mentioned to me by the promoter that you can pre book tables for £350 if there are afew of you and its like a bar tab plus you get somewhere to sit down. Definitely recommend going there on a Friday
First of all if i could give this place no stars I certainly would! The management of this place really need to sack the rude, arrogant woman with short 'hair' at the door with her little clipboard thinking she has all the power in the world. I stupidly decided I wanted to hold my birthday at this place last Saturday. I arranged a guestlist and called up before hand to confirm with a lady on the phone. I told her that I had two people in my group that were just under 21 and asked if we would be alright getting in and she said it would fine aslong as everyone had valid ID. We got there at about 10pm and said to the 'woman' at the door that we were on the guestlist. She then walked all the way round the cue and eyeballed all of us up and down like we were something she had just stepped in and then asked our ages. We said to her that we had two people under 21, but that we already had spoken to someone about it. She didn't even ask to see ID but instead refused us entry. We explained to her that we confirmed with a lady on the phone about having people under 21 and she just replied in a very rude and inappropriate manner that we had been given the wrong information, that there is always an over 21 policy on Saturdays. She has no people skills and is an absolute disgrace! The fact that the staff have no clue about there own place isn't my fault, they need to sort it out! Its absolutely ridiculous! However, a few people who I was there with went to this venue a couple of weeks before with friends who were under 21 and got in on a Saturday with no problems.
Anyway, I then decided to go Strawberry Moon and had the best time, no pretentious stuck up people, just down to earth people wanting to have a good time! Highly recommended for a fun night out!
I had a brilliant time at Studio Valbonne! I went last Saturday and arrived about 10pm, they had a fire breather outside to entertain us while we queued and a magician. It was my friends birthday and we booked through Starr Parties after finding them on facebook, they let us all join their table which was amazing. The table was in the VIP and the drinks were all free, we all got quite drunk so I can't remember much about the decor. The promoter helped us get in without queuing for long and looked after us all really well so I think for those who spend hours queuing it's like most VIP clubs, it's about who you know. The music was great and all the sparklers and dancers they have during the night make it really special for a birthday. I guess booking through the right person, arriving early and looking super sexy will guarantee a great Saturday night
The place is rubbish especially the service. If barmen in this place think that throwing dirty napkins at their customers is funny then I have no idea where the management team got those idiots from. When it used to be Tantra in good old days it was amazing, then they've changed everything around and boom, trashy girls, drunken fights, eek stuff in the bathrooms, just can't express enough how bad the last experience was. Plus, when we were invited, we were told that this amazing dj is coming to play so we went to see the new Tantra and to listen to an 'amazing dj'. However, on top of all the service horror, we couldn't help but notice that there was no dj around the decks, and we asked the promoter what the hell that was and he calmly explained that it was just iTunes playing. Anyways, we are def not coming back even if it was the last place open in the world. Good luck.
If I could give this place no starts then I would.
Went there with a group of 28 people, mixed girls and boys but mainly girls. We were on the guest list and had booked a table. Half the group didn't get in based on the fact that the lady at the door thought we were too ugly! I have never been rejected by any club based on looks and we are definitely not ugly and all the girls were dressed in dresses and heels.
The half that did get let in had to leave and get their money back. Ruined the night completely.
So pretentious, posy and rude. NEVER going back and wouldn't recommend it to anyone, incase you aren't the door ladies "type."
Five Stars -i think the other reviews of Studio Valbonne don't disassociate how much it costs to walk in to a place like this from the way people were treated. The fact that Studio V has so few promoters says a lot about the kind of caliber of club that it is. It is certainly up there with the likes of Mahiki, China White and Maddox. There were eight of us and we booked a table, as you do when going to a place like this. Even though the table didn't gaurantee entry we showed up from around 9 - 10 pm in mixed groups. The lady at the door was very professional and the bouncers were polite. The table queue was non existent though at around 11 it was a mad house. Luckily we came back in via the re-entry queue and the let three of our recently arrived friends in as well. Though beware the stamps they put on your hand rub off very easily. The bouncer tried to get me to pay to get back in but the lady that organises the table smoothed things over with him. Highlights: Getting there b/w nine and ten in mixed groups made entry painless. Being able to re-enter was great. Good looking friendly crowd. Great Music. Impeccable cleanliness inside. Great table location inside the vip area. Friendly staff right from the bouncers to the bar staff to security/maintenance inside the club. Downsides: Costs around 100 - 200 for the night. Entry stamp rubs off easily. Would go again
How times have changed! I was a regular at Louis Brown's La Valbonne during my time in London in the 70's, it was a great place to meet people, would arrive just before 10:00pm and leave at closing at 3:00 am before going on to the Cavendish Hotel for something to eat. Great memories of the go-go girls dancing on the fountain in the pool and the cigarette girls. It was a good place to pick up beautiful women. Pity things have gone downhill!
This place is most definitely to be avoided! We got to the club at half 9 and queued until 11.30 before giving up due to not moving an inch. The bouncers seemed clueless about how 2 organise a queue, each telling you conflicting things about where you should be waiting. It says 'free' for girls, but they only start letting most people in after 11, when its £20. Even then not many went in. We were on the guest list, yet this makes no difference. Apparently being on the guest list doesn’t actually mean anything at this club..
The bouncers are incapable, rude, and disrespectful to decent people. Reading the comments I see that this is a common theme. The average user rating is 2 stars and even this is too high. It’s a shame because it was a friend’s birthday and she had a £50 cake waiting for her inside.
If you choose to still go this place, then be prepared to be frustrated and let down. I advise you to get there really early 2 avoid trouble getting in, around 7.
The manager of this place seriously needs to pull his/her finger out because currently it’s a disgrace. I can't believe reading a comment below that the bouncers close the club half an hour early one night, and burst into the girl’s toilets to force them all out.
I'm not usually one to come on a site such as this to write a bad comment about a place, being a 22 year old guy, but have made an exception because i refuse to ignore people being treated like this, especially when they are paying £20 to get into the place.
Went there on Saturday night, they let lots of girls in but it’s more quantity that quality, 75% weren’t fit, prices and music same as most high end clubs, club hopper says three stars.
Just went there for Alexis Jordan's private showcase, a music industry event.
Didn't have any problems to enter, but the club looks like the usual tacky westend shitpit which has seen one too many club nights without refurb.
I won't comment on the drinks as they were free, but clearly the promoters went for the generic white-of-the-house-£1-a-bottle as I felt stomach acidity after just 2 glasses of it.
Music after the performance was done by some random resident dj who played more tacky hit tunes, without being able to mix them.
I left 1h after entering the venue, for good.
I recently celebrated my 21st birthday at Studio Valbonne. My friends & I were all smartly dressed for the occasion & had no issues getting in. Some of my girl friends were abit late to benefit from complimentary entry but only had to pay £10 to get in as they were on the main promoters guestlist. Inside we were given vip Treatment, being hosted on a table in the raised area. Music was pretty good, it started off House & Club Classics with Rnb being introduced more as the night went on. The promoters supplied me with a stunning birthday cake & shared their bottle of vodka with me & my guests giving us something to start the night off with. Drinks at the bar are average for west-end some cost more than others but in general girly drinks like wine will not set you back more than £6. I brought out a few hundred to splash and orded a bottle of Dom Perignon on the table the promoter was sitting on. I saw him speak to someone at the bar and then the dj & when my bottle came out with a load of sparklers, causing a firework show, the music simultaneously changed to the Rocky Theme tune making me feel like the star of the show. All in all it was a great night, I don't go out often and literally just got in touch with the promoters by searching "studio Valbonne Fridays" on Facebook search & I messaged the contact details I found on the Fan Page. Highly Recommended! Sara xxx
I went to Studio Valbonne for my 18th birthday after being advised by a friend. I was exceptionally worried after reading numerous reviews claiming that the club should be avoided at all costs. However, I trusted my friends advise and had an extremely enjoyable night. The music was the highlight of the evening. The dj was constantly playing good music which kept me and my friends on the dancefloor the whole night. Ofcourse the drinks were overpriced. With all the drinks including any type of spirit going for between £9-12.(even shots!). However we did discover a glass of wine was the cheapest drink on the menu at £6there were a couple of other things that let the club down1. The bouncers. The women on the door is rude if you give her a reason to be. So don't. One of my friends was on the phone giving directions to another girl in our group and was rudely told to put her phone away while she was checking her bag. Why she needed to put her phone down is still unknown to me! Just come with proper legal upto date id and you will have no problems2. Some songs were repeated numerous times which got a little tiresome. I suspect that this is also the reason why quite a few ppl left at around 3am. Leaving about 30ppl in the club including my group3. Whatever the website may say it did not finish at 4am by 3.30am the male boucers felt obligded to fumble into the female toilets to kick us all out. We were even rushed to get our coats4. I only went for one night but the other guests were extremely boring at times. Many were perfectly happy to sit down in there sunglasses (yes sunglasses!) for the whole night staring at others all night. But plzplzplz dnt let you put you off. It was a brilliant night and the music was amazing. You just need to make it your own! The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was because a few songs were played twice
How sad to read all these bad reviews. The place was owned by my uncle Louis Brown for more than 25 years until the late 80's. As GQ Magazine described him he was the "King of Clubs" & knew exactly what it took to run a successful nightclub business, that others tried & failed to imitate. It looks like the owners since then have totally ignored the ethos my uncle set out to achieve in entertaining people.
I celebrated my 25thee Birthday at Studio Valbonne, Saturday 12th June 2010! Must say, it was a fantastic night! There were about 14 of us in total, 3 male and rest female, all arrived separately. None of us had any trouble at the door - the door staff and bar staff were lovely, and free entry up to 11pm, and they mean it. Unlike other exclusive clubs that change their mind at 10:30pm! We arrived at 22:57 and got in no problem. The Music was a fantastic mixture of Rnb, funky house, garage and more. Great mix! Drinks were very reasonable, £9 for a double Vodka and Coke - Which is definitely a good price for central London. The crowd were not pretentious, as people say, they were doing their own thing and enjoying their night. I will definately be visiting here again! 5 Star for sure! If you want a good night, great crowd, even better music, then go to Valbonne, it is the one!
Best Saturday for a long time! Went to Studio Valbonne for my friend’s birthday and had a great time. We were about ten of us in a mixed group and we had no problem at the door since we were on the guest list. Drinks prices were a little bit too expensive but the service was good. Long wait for the cloakroom in the end but it was definitely worth it. Had a lovely night with great music and great people!
This was possibly one of the WORST bars I have ever been to. After queuing, we were greeted by a doorwoman (although I have my doubts as to whether she was in fact female!) who was rude to my friend and I instantly and then twice more after that. Once we got past 3 lots of security, we paid the extortionate t amount of £20 to get in. The song on entry was 'My neck, My back'. I am sure most of you will know how awful this song is. I nearly threw up when I saw the people dancing to it! The bar staff clearly couldn't get jobs in the strip bars so second best thing was to come and work at Studio Valbonne! My friend (love her) demanded our money back from the manager, who was not very professional either. We did get half our money back in the end but still, an experience definitely to missed! The only reason this place would rate 5 stars is because they are on show from the waitresses!!
If it was possible I would give this club a NO STAR rating. Never met a more obnoxious, ignorant and absolutely horrific door staff in my life. It’s as tho the power of the clip board had got to there head. I would never spend a penny in this place and advise people against it. Oh the woman door lady and the manager together were the worst I had ever seen. Shame tho there was one door guy who was obviously had manners but was being overpowered by the other lot. DISGRACEFULL
I spent the New Year Eve there, it was half empty hated the place, hated the place, awful crowd and bad music. Will never go there again.
Absolutely terrbile. Went to Studio Valbonne for my friends birthday. Reserved a table. Had emails to confirm 10 guys and a minimum spend of 500. Once inside we had to pay 20 (overpriced for a normal night). Once we sat down at the table we found chewing gum embeded on the sofa. And then we were told there would now be a minimum spend of 1000! So we declined and said we would stay in the club anyway and just buy drinks at the bar. We were told we had to leave and that we would not recieve the money back that we paid to get in! Daylight robbery. Cannot begin to tell you the trouble we had outside. Avoid Studio Valbonne. You will not have A good night!
I would give Studio Valbonne a less than a zero rating. It is the worst club in London you can ever imagine. Even if you look smart and have money you will feel humiliated by the stuff working there as they think they can control your life and are superior to you. There is a portuguese or greek looking bouncer at the door who thinks he can rule the world. He is just a bouncer! If I was the owner I would feel ashamed of the staff and would fire them immediately.
We were queueing to get in and we were in a guest list of the organiser of the event. We were supposed to get in free of charge. At the door first it looked like they didn't beleive us, then they said we have to pay £20. Rip off! If not we would need to leave the queue. We stepped aside, but this bouncer kept telling us to go to the other side of the road and not to smoke. Who is he to tell us where we should be standing and what we should be doing? It is a public road and if we want to stand in the middle it is our choice, we are not obstructing the entrance or standing on their carpet.
Then some guy came out and told us we can get in, but boys have to pay £10. Change of plans! So we go back and they tell us to queue again! After queueing all the way the girl at the door tells us to step aside as we cannot go in. What? No explanantion. What we find out is that portuguese bouncer is actually not letting us in because we didn't go to the other side of the road. A bouncre is deciding here? Hello! He is just a bouncer! That was the last drop for me. I was so annoyed that some bouncer at the door is deciding whether we should go in or not. And imagine our surprise when the organiser arrived and had to beg the bouncer (yes! To beg him) to let us in. Who is more important here? I don't get it!
As an educated and professional person I felt humiliated by the stuff. Totally no education or culture. Never again!
Not impressed by this club at all. The sound system is the worst I have ever heard. The music was so loud that you can hear the speakers vibrating.
Went out last Sat 17/10 with 14 of my friends. Long queue but if you wear the right attire and do not look like school kids you should be fine.
Door lady and cloak room lady were rude, but well, most likely they have never been educated on manners.Yes, drinks are pricey but it's common if you want to go to a trendy club in London so I'm not that bothered.
Based on my personal experiences, these clubs that I have been before are much more better : Cuckoo, Chinwhite, Paper, FunkyBuddha, Rooftop Gardens, Amika, Maya & Embassy.
Don't say you've not been warned!
Possibly the worst night I have ever had, made only worse by the awful weather.
I wish I had stayed at home! this place is insulting, petty, obnoxious and seriously over priced.
You would have to be a complete idiot to visit it twice.2p
Went to Studio Valbonne a couple of weeks ago and had a fantastic night.
No problems at the door, the crowd was friendly and the music was brilliant (commercial dance, Rnb...)
Would definitely recommend it!
I put my name and about 16 of my friend's names on the guestlist for Studio Valbonne last weekend for my 23rd birthday.
We turned up at the place in good time, as requested by the promoter, and on arrival I showed the bouncer my guestlist confirmation and he told us all to queue up in the queue for people on the guestlist.
Everything was all hunky dory, we waited 15 or 20 mins in the queue, and by the time we got the front of the queue, the female bouncer said the guestlist had been "closed".
Naturally, i was a bit shocked and didn't really understand why, so my friend and I asked why and tried to get an explanation, whilst attempting to reason with this awful woman.
I reminded her it was my 23rd birthday and I'd booked in advance, and she was shockingly rude and inconsiderate in return. We we're told it'd be £20 each to enter (I was originally told free for girls and £15 for guys), either that or "get out of the queue".
We were not drunk or causing a scene, we are all young professionals, and all really smartly dressed. there was no explanation or reason for us not being allowed in. not only that, but if the bouncer had known that they weren't going to let us in, why did they let us queue up for so long?
I WILL NEVER RETURN TO THIS CLUB. NOT ONLY WERE THEY INFURIATINGLY RUDE, BUT THEY RUINED MY 23rd BIRTHDAY WHICH I HAD BEEN PLANNING FOR WEEKS. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS CLUB TO ANYONE. If you're looking for a cool club to go to, try Sirocco, it saved my almost ruined 23rd.xxx
after reading these reviews, I am glad my feelings are agreed with.
went to this place for the 1st time 2 weekends ago as my friend does promotions there.
to say i was disappointed is an understatement! travelled up with a mate and arrived there before my promotion guy arrived and decided to go in instead of wait, WRONG move.
we were greeted with a miserable looking doorman/bouncer asking if we had a table or was on guest-list, we gave him our names and he did not believe who we were so i had to ring my friend who was on his way to clarify things, he then looked at us and said 'well go in then', to say he was rude was another understatement.
the night followed by being semi full, with ok music but the people who were in there were so pretentious and it was about who you were or how much money you can spend.
I get that its a popular club and its more of a place to be seen in or whatever but it does not give the staff or the club in general permission to treat you like a piece of crap.
My friend works there to earn a living and it gives him good money, but I won't be going there anytime soon if ever, unless you want to feel like you are worthless!
However, if you wear next to nothing and have your babs out you will be greeted with open arms!
Have a bit of class but not a known face or the above then you have no chance!
Can I not give this club a lower rating? This was actually the second time I went as the first time was a Friday and was quite empty, so I thought maybe a Saturday is different.
Well firstly, two of our group were not let in becuase of inappropriate footwear. This was just and excuse becuase we clearly saw people going in with some dodgy ataire on.
Anyway luckily they had somewhere else to go so the rest of us went in. Surprise, surprise it was the same as Friday..
EMPTY and this was 11:30pm. It did pick up by 1am but still not by any real club standards.
The dance floor had at most 20 people on it with a circle of guys who spend more time in the gym than choosing what too wear.
The drinks were overpriced and the club made a point of showing everyone that the posers section had ordered a bottle of champs.
A double barcardi and coke was over £11 in a glass that contained 75% ice. Girls are tarted up holding their one drink waiting for someone to buy them a real drink.
My cat could have mixed better than DJ. Really not a fun club. Dont bother and save your money.
Embarrassed. That is what I am still feeling today after I went to Studio Valbonne on Saturday night... the night that Neyo sang live.
I am in complete shock that such a place exists and that I was gullible enough to go there.
Given the website and rave reviews by one of the promoters, I was looking forward to going.
When the doorwoman looked at my friend and I and let us in, I felt privileged after seeing so many nice people being turned away.
Then I got inside, popped into the ladies and started to see the light....Girls were arguing over who was next, hairspray was being sprayed on already sticky voluminous hives, arm-pits were being smelt... and so on.
I'm embarrassed if Neyo thinks that this club is representative of London night-life and London females.
I am not going to generalise as that is not right but one example of such females was when my friend and I were waiting for the bar-girl to register our existence, a girl pushed my friend to one side and stood where she had been standing.
She then turned slowly around, hands on hips and stared my dear friend down. Her poor boyfriend had no idea what was wrong with her.
We chose to walk away for fear that we may have been spat on or may have had our faces punched.
Moving on from the girls, the music satisfies those who like chart r&b and dance music. However, the sound system is one of the worst I have ever heard.
I thought it was going to "pop" several times as it just couldn't cope with the volume. The mixing was poor also.
"Embarrassing" is the most apt word to describe it and I have never felt more compelled to publish a review until now.
After reading many terrible reviews about this place, im going to submit mine ... and Im not about to buck the trend.
It seems to gain entry to this place you must turn up outside driving a Bentley, Range Rover, Porche ... you get the picture ..
.. in fact as we reached the front of the queue we were asked how much money we had, (we laughed it off, and how wrong we were).
This "club" is rammed to the rafters of P Diddy, Pharrel Williams wannabe's, suitably equiped with their stupid hats and sunglasses in a dark venue ... with attitues to match.
The "women" if you can call them that are dolled up to the maximum, with the majority im sure not able to get one tiny bit more make-up on their face if they put there small mind to it.
The drinks in this place are offensively expensive, and to add insult to injury if you want to pay by card (which most of us have to unless you carry a deposit for a semi detached around in your sky rocket) they charge you 15% service charge!
The "music" in this place is shocking ... unless your into your usual over-played commercial RNB *get down low" tunes.
Any house lovers prepared to be dissapointed, as the selection is awful and the standard of DJ'ing is even worse still,
however I doubt the club management feels this is an issue considering the heavily pretentious people it attracts, they are more interested in their image than the music/evening they want to have.
Avoid this horrible place, so many other good places to go in London.
Apologies...i was meant to say that i went there on Friday 20th on a GLM night not 21/03/09...if i could give this place 0 stars i would have.
Went there on 21/03/09 with 6 girls and 6 guys with a guest list...we got to the door and the doorman told us to wait...he went inside called another gentlemen who i assume is the manager...to my disgust this man peeped his head out and shook his head to the bouncer and the bouncer told us that we couldn't get in.
We asked the bouncer why we were refused entry whilst others were walking into the building without any fuss and he simply told us that it is not in his control and that he had been given orders from elsewhere.
Why we were refused entry still bemuses us all as we were all appropriately dressed. I will not be going there again as i get the impression you have to fulfill a certain "image" to get in.
Very disappointed.
After searching long and hard for our Christmas party venue I decided on Studio Valbonne.
After making contact with the club's manager and exchanging 9 emails with regards to confirming the guestlist I was shocked to arrive at the venue on the 20th Dec 2008 to find that the door staff knew nothing about our booking (30 guests).
Luckily I had my Blackberry with me and was able to retrieve the managers's emails and show them to the door staff (they weren't amused).
After waiting 45mins outside I receive a phone call from the manager saying that the door staff have control of the evening!!!
The door staff then told me that they could only let in 15 of us and we would be given free entry (after 45 mins many had left anyway).
We went up the stairs and then were asked to pay at the top or get out (some payed some didn't).So we're in... and are given a table(no minimum spend) with an allocated barman... GREAT things are getting better.
I tipped the barman a 50 pound note and asked him to look after the guests which to his credit he did!
He asked to take a imprint of my card as the tab would be settled at the end which I authorised as a MAXIMUM of 500pounds... the barman agreed.
The music was good and the crowd was what was expected at this venue (others have already commented on this so I won't add to it).
The following Monday I checked my bank statement only to find that the club had charged me 982 pounds!!!
This is what we had...1 x 70cl Jack Daniels 165 pounds1 x Stoli Cristal Vodka 165 pounds5 x Jug Mixers 50 pounds
I brought this to the club mangers attention immediately and she said it would be resolved within a week.
17 phone calls and almost 3 MONTHS LATER STILL NO REFUND. I have spoken to the General Manager, 3 different staff members and the Accounts Manager on several occasions....
BOTH MANAGERS ACCEPT FAULT! **
Went to this club last night, must say I felt cheated. The decor was ok, drinks not too badly priced compared to some places, but the place was overrun with complete and utter twats and bimbos.
This, however, I can handle, but the music was actually about the worst I have ever heard in my life. I am not a fan of R&B, but thats ok, I can handle this because all these 'exclusive' clubs play R&B.
The 'funky house' they claim to play is off a 1998 ministry of sound cd. But the worst was this:
1) Playing the starwars theme song every 10 minutes everytime someone ordered champagne (admitedly they do this everywhere, but it was especially annoying last night)
2) You know when you are listening to music on your computer, and you play 2 or 3 songs at one time, and it sounds completely fu**ed? They actually play this 'mash' here.
I was just standing there thinking what the f**k is this? It is actually not music! I cant belive someone actually gets paid to do this.
It would be better if they just had a cd player.Overall not the worst club, and actually could have had a good time if they sorted that craphouse music out! Not worth the 20 quid entry though.
I went there a couple of weeks ago and it was shocking!! The girls are all essex wag wanabes!
And the bar staff are rude and think they are out of this world when they are actually caked in make-up to there eyeballs and the women bar staff only serve the men first!
Especially one who served out table afte 40mins waiting who had the afro blond curly hair and was very rude.Do not go thre if you want a good night out!
I have spent most of my weekends for the last 10 years going out and about in London so I know that there are a lot of great clubs around, this is not one of them. I would never go back here, it was a waste of time and money.
We had an area reseved for a friends birthday and a gueslist, when we arrived the doormen knew nothing about this and it took almost half an hour for them to find the guy who was responsilbe for booking our area, which once we got in was all set up reserved with our name on it so the whole thing between the doorman and the table reservations and guestlist was very disorganised.
After and hour we were told very rudely that we had to move to another area that they had reserved for us. The staff were arrogant, rude and agressive. The music was rubbish and the people in there were over groomed, fake WAG wannabe's getting hideously drunk on the overpriced drinks. We left after a couple of drinks along with many other guests who seemed equally unimpressed. I'm sorry I wasted my money paying to get in to this place.
