We visited the Barrowboy and Banker on Borough High Street on what we thought would be a quiet night after dining at the George across the river. We were amazed at the number of people there. Mostly business and professional types.

The atmosphere was great - friendly, quick bar service, friendly patrons and a sort of "buzz" which made the place really come alive. The decor was interesting and the prices reasonable.

There were 5 in our group and we had no problem locating ourselves in a nice spot on the second level overlooking the rest of the bar. Being from Canada we were thoroughly impressed all round and have since recommended this pub as a must see to our friends.
