The Brickhouse is an interesting venue and worth a visit - as long as you aren't planning to have a quick meal! Visiting recently with a group of friends, the wine and food took an exceptionally long time to arrive - we arrived at 8.00 and left at 11.00 and they still hadn't managed to bring the dessert. When we asked about the dessert we were told in no uncertain terms that we had only been waiting 20 minutes and it takes a long time to prepare (I'd ordered cheese) so it wasn't coming any time soon. We had to leave before it arrived but were still charged for a three-course meal! It wouldn't have been so bad if the manager had managed to squeeze out just a tiny apology. Still, the band was good and if you just want to go for a drink that's fine - you can always get chips on the way home!

Went for dinner at The Brickhouse on Friday. It is very new and very different. The food is absolutely fantastic - not surprising as the chef Matt Reuter has previously worked at a number of Michelin starred restaurants. There were two acts on that night - quite unusual but very interesting. We had our table for the whole night and towards the end most people were chatting and socialising around the downstairs area. The beds on the top floor are great and the venue is different and will definitely be the place to go before long. Highly recommended.
