I took my girlfriend for drinks and a meal at the driver last friday. We received excellent service, thought there was a great atmosphere and the food was excellent. Would definetly go again and looking forward to next time, already. Thanks for the great evening.

My visit to The Driver was a highly disappointing experience and I would not want to wish it on anyone. Booking an area in the downstairs bar made little difference as we had to wait for it to be cleared and then fight our way through a crowded floor of patrons only to then be surrounded on all sides by elbows, bums and bags. Ordering a drink was near on impossible with inexperienced bar staff with a poor attitude and bad customer service. The Bar food was slow to arrived and lobbed onto our table along with some napkins thrown in with a carefree attitude. This place has a long way to go before its anywhere near being a place I would frequent again.

Last week we had a company BBQ at The Driver and the food and the service were both first class. However the best thing about the pub is the lovely roof terrace, its a magical space that has to be seen to be believed. I just wish the summer was a little hotter and longer x

We came at The Driver last Friday for my birthday, after booking through Viewlondon. We first headed for the roof terrace and have a drink there. Lovely space, a bit crowded thought. Then we sat on the first floor restaurant, we all had a mains, shared 2 bottles of wine, and 3 of us had desserts. The food was great, good portions, good quality, with a surprising Zebra steak, and a memorable Brownie with Spicy ice cream. Great food, decent prices, friendly staff. I'll definitely come back. Jb

I loved the food, and the service was professional and quick. You should try the rib eye steak, delicious. The decor was beautiful if a bit eclectic. Did not realise they had a roof terrace with a bar too, cool. Defo one to check out.x

The venue is gorgeous and traditionally English, alot like the food - the best roast chicken I've had in a long time! Service was swift and our waitress couldn't have done more for us. Overall a great Sunday afternoon out - couldn't recommend it more!!

Last week I attended a birthday party at The Driver, I was most impressed by the great service and the venue. I was so impressed that I have booked my own event there. The venue is also lovely inside and has a great roof terrace. One to return to!

Not only is The Driver a beautiful pub, it also has multiple function rooms. I hired the entire venue for my wedding reception and couldn't recommend it any further! The ladies at Blonde Productions (their bookings agency) were so friendly, helpful & efficient I didn't have to worry about a thing.
The 3 floors I hired were all set out beautifully with the upmost attention to detail. They really didn't miss a thing.
Having to plan a wedding is stressful enough as it is, so not having to worry about the reception was a blessing.
My friends have all started booking the venue for their events and say the same wonderful things!!

What an incredible venue! I just had my 30th birthday at The Driver and had an amazing night. They have three different function rooms where you can pretty much do whatever you want! For my party I had a good hundred people come and everyone had a fantastic night out. The staff are so professional and a delight to speak with. They couldn't have done more to make my night more special. It has a certain buzz about the venue. We partied until about 4am which for us 30 year olds was perfect. I have already booked my next fancy dress themed night there to celebrate my engagement. I couldn't recommend it more.

I went to a friends 30th birthday party last week, the room was stunning, the most amazing furniture and service was great. We partied on till 4am and had a brilliant time. Can't wait for another party and would advise anyone to book a party there.

Thanks to all the staff at the Driver for making our night so special.

What an Amazing Venue!
Went down for Sunday Lunch last week and loved it! The Building and the Decor are just so beautiful.
The Sunday Roast menu all sounded so great but have the Sirloin! The meat was perfectly cooked, the Yorkshire Puds were light and fluffy and super yummy and I found everything very reasonably priced.
The wine-list is great, but Bloody Marys were to die for!
The Staff were all very fun and attentive, I will definitely be back for more!

Absolutely gorgeous venue, but be warned if booking an event there please insist on a written contract! The events promoter there is extremely unprofessional.

Such a shame you had problems. I didn't have any problems at all and the events promoter i thought was lovely! Probably a different person.

A lot of thought and effort has gone into the design and decor of The Driver but these things alone don't make a great bar.

The service was a bit awkward and half hearted, food was very slow to the table. We had a bottle of Chilean Merlot which wasn't off, just bad.

We went on to have a bottle of Errazuriz Carmenere which was actually Cab Sauv when it arrived but was much nicer.

A Mezze (£8.50) to share for starter which was nice but must have taken 25 minutes to arrive (it wasn't busy).

We had fillet steak (£17.95) for mains which came with bought in chips and uncooked spinach.

A bit of attention to detail, staff training and a decent wine list would make all the difference here.

Great place to have lunch during the day with work friends or collogues but also an amazing venue at night.

With the drivers 4 floors and roof terrace with smoking area, threes not a better place in London to have a good time

The Driver is a great little place in Kings Cross. The big comfy sofas are fantastic and great for a lazy Sunday afternoon recovery. There's an impressive wine list too so the Driver caters for the girlies too!
