As far as places in London go, The Elbow Room is definitely my favourite hang out. Its a great place to unwind with a few friends in the evening - with a few beers and games of pool under your belt you'll leave as happy as larry, providing you havent been on the receiving end of a beating!

Living locally, I have attended the Elbow Rooms before and after the NYE incident.
I can honestly say that the total vibe of the place has now changed to a very cool, sociable one. Security is always present and friendly, bar staff are talkative (when not too busy), pool tables are first class, and all in all it's an enjoyable experience now.
Queues can get up when busy but The Elbow Room remains really good on a quieter night or when starting off for a large one. Highly recommend.

My friends and I got tickets to go to the 2007 New Years Eve party at The Elbow Room and the whole night is one I wish to forget asap. We waited over one hour and 20 mins in the queue and there was no coordination at the door of organising people or preventing some from pushing in.

We managed to get through The Elbow Room doors about midnight exactly when we entered the new year. The cloakroom was full so we had to keep our coats on. Needless to say I will not be going there next New Years Eve as it is certainly not the way I wish to celebrate the last day of the year.

The live music at The Elbow Room (Islington) is great. The Goldierocks night is a find for new music. I have never had a bad time at one of her nights. Elbow Room (Islington) can be busy but it has a very cool crowd there.

I was at the Elbow Room for a work do last week and had the best time ever! The food was phenomenal - really the best burgers I've had in London and the choice of import beer too! The plush booths and fairy lights created a whole load of private nooks and crannies despite the place itself being all open plan and pretty huge. I'd fully recommend the Elbow Room for a private party.

I've had some good nights at The Elbow Room (Islington)! Although recently they may have caught 'couples only' disease. You may as well go to gay clubs now if you are a straight man wanting to meet single women! I did get lucky and had a cool time. Yes, the music at The Elbow Room varies a lot but I got lucky the night I went and it was great!

I quite like The Elbow Rooms in Islington, it's one of my favourite clubs in Angel. It just has a few flaws such as, drinks being costly. Don't get there late or you'll be waiting there quite a while in the queue. It has pool tables which you could play on once you get tired and bored of dancing. Entry is a little too casual, no offence intended when I say that rough characters ease their way in. Plus, sometimes the DJs don't get it right as they tend to switch between tracks very hastily.

I first went to this venue on a Saturday night for my boyfriend's birthday and thought it had a very cozy and funky atmosphere. You can choose to sit down in the tucked away corners and have a good yack & meal with your mates or dance the night away or play pool! There is a waiting list to play pool but the waiting time isn't that bad. Also the drinks are reasonably priced especially if you go during the happy hour! I would definitely consider going there again for a no fuss, no attitude night out with friends!
