Ialways have a great time at Graneries,Ihad my 21st bithday there, that was 15 years ago lol!!Still visit once or twice a month on a Saturday. My favourite spot on the upper floor with the reggae and ragga. I also enjoy downstairs with Rnb etc .
I went to wheelers wine bar in stratford and thought this was the best place to rave
nice atmosphere drinks reasonably priced and friendly bar staff with really tight security until i went to granaries trust me granaries has what you need if you like to rave the guys the girls
all types of music though drinks a bit steep awkward to find the place but once your there you do not want to leave i love it looking forward to going back there security do there job no aggro check it out
I've been to this club a few times now and every time I've had a brilliant night.
The music is excellent, a mixture of reggae, bashment, soul, r n b, hip hop across 3 floors.
You will not hear any funky house or garage so if that's what you're looking for it's not the place for you.
I would definitely recommend this club to anyone who's looking for a more mature event (it's over 22s) away from the hype of all the funky house events which seem to be taking over these days.
The club doesn't get busy until around 1am, and is busy right through until closing time, so be prepared for a late night!
OMG - The granaries Jamaican Independence dance was excellent. Better than my birthday night a few weeks ago.
There was a bit of a queue when we got there around 12 - but they kept it moving quickly so didn't have to wait that long.
The place was packed out but the atmosphere was fantastic. As we got in, the club was decorated in Jamaican flags, red, gold and green balloons and posters with the most important black people this century - it looked great.
The music was brilliant no matter which floor we chose with a good variety of reggae and bashment throughout the night. Even better they gave us an extra hour and never put the entry charge up.
I stayed til gone 6 and was shocked when I came out to sunlight!! It was a great great night only wish we hadn't forgotten the camera again.
Hi,
Me and about 20 of my friends went to this club a couple of weeks ago for my bday.
It was my third time there and have to say we had the most fantastic night.
We got there early and the manager let me in for free and my friends got a concession rate of £5 each so we were all pleased.
We were a little worried at first cos there were not many people in but the manager explained that it was still early and it would pick up - dont know why we were worried, by about 12.30, 1am the place was ram out.
Add to that, the manager came and found me and gave me a bottle of wine and a box of chocolates and wished me a happy birthday.
I enjoyed the R&B floor the most but then thats my taste in music half my friends spent most of the night on the bashment floor.
This is the good thing about the granaries, 3 floors of different sounds so theres something for everyone.
Have to say we left there a bit worse for wear but then it was my bday. Looking forward to a return visit very soon.
Went to the club for the Red Carpet Event. Excellent night. My girl even won a thong 4 her moves.
The place was packed from about 1am but what i love about this place is that i always feel safe cos they are so strict about who they let in and how they search them.
Danced on all 3 floors but have to say the ol skool floor was banging this week. It was a great night. Stayed til the very last tune.
Can't wait til tomorrow cos they are doing a jamaican independence nite and they are staying opn an extra hr.
This club is the best club around its becoming like home for me and my girlfriend.
People do not even waste your time going to this dive of A venue.
Myself and my friends just came back from Granaries in croydon and there was about 20 people in the club and that's including the staff!
The so called manager who lacked people skills did not even try to understand our situation when we requested a refund.
She did however offer to put our names down on the guest list for us to return tomorrow night.
Why would we want to do that, when it was a total let down today.
We were only there for a maximum of half an hour total. We won't be robbed twice! We rate The Granaries no stars! Enter at your own risk!
Just a quick one ... I was there Saturday night and there was a photographer taking pictures all night !!! Does anyone know where granaries (or this promoter) may upload these pictures to ??? I can't seem to find any previous ones anyway ... so I hope this guy was a promoter and not a random with a flashy camera.Thanks.
££10 entrance £1 per item in the cloakroom. the club is definately one to visit ... again and again. 3 floors of vibbing music. everyone feels nice and goes with the flow.
It was an alright night out. 3 floors mean more choice. Good mix of nationalities. My guy is a soul head so we spent most of our time on the top floor. Would defiantly go again.
It's my Bday on saturday 27th Dec, how do I get on the guestlist?
if yuh looking for real reggae, me mean di real big tunes deh latest from yard. then its definitely the place to be. wen me go deh yuh just dance all nite long, even if yuh nuh pull. yuh still left feeling good.
well granaries was great went for my 22nd birthday and had brillant night 3 floors of fun dont go to early very quite but by 1 the place is kicking goin back this weekend
I am white It is great to see mix crowd all having good time. It is the best atmosher you see in london
This is a great place to party. The bouncers are a lot of fun and are jokers but still manage to keep a safe and secure enviroment. I think that it is a great place to be on a Friday and Saturday night.
I have been going to The Granaries for eight years and I love it there, as it is one of the safest clubs around and plays some wicked tunes. The top floor is for reggae and ragga lovers, the middle floor is for soul and Motown, and the bottom floor is for RnB and house. The Granaries has friendly surroundings. Go check it out.
I have never beed to The Granaries but have heard it's really good. I would love to go on the guest list to see for myself.
