The service at The Livery was possibly the worst I’ve ever seen. We arrived at our table at 12.30pm and placed our drink orders. They got one of the orders wrong and tried to correct it, but got the correction wrong as well. We had to ask for one of the drinks three times before it arrived.


After some time, we were asked to place our food order. Then one of the group was told that his original order was no longer available and was asked (somewhat grumpily) what alternative he wanted. Finally at about 1.15pm we asked how long it would be til our food arrived and were assured that it would be soon, but big orders take longer.


Most of the meals arrived a couple of minutes before 1.30pm, with the final meal a few minutes after that. So we asked to speak to The Livery manager to tell her we’d waited an hour before getting food and that the drinks had taken a long time to arrive. We said that we wouldn’t be going back there for lunch again given the poor service. She said she was really sorry, and there was nothing more she could say, as they'd had a messy day. And that was it.


Needless to say, we didn’t pay the optional service charge.

My mates and I go to The Livery fairly often and always have a good time. Drinks are cheap and it's usually pretty full in there.

Some of the blokes aren't bad either! If you're after a good night out then I reckon The Livery takes some beating.
