Can the "red rooms" even be called a club??? It's a corridor with a tiiiiny dancefloor! The drinks are waaay to expensive and everything is double, so if you, like me, like weak drinks you can't get anything. The staff is incredibly rude, the toilets smell VERY bad and the only places to seat down are on the second floor, where I almost freezed to death!! What made me feel even worse is that I actually READ all the reviews and insisting on goin anyway. Please, dooon't do the same, this place is absolutely dreadful! the seriously oughta close down.
Went to the red rooms last saturday night and what a load of rubbish...Eveything is over priced. Paid too much to get in and 3 drinks (2 vodka & coke, 1 bacardi & coke) cost £30..way to much. The place is tiny with no air con which makes is very hot and sweaty...the DJ played the same tunes over & over again and the toilets are dire...don't go and waste your money when there are so many other good places to go to. Wish i'd read reviews before going but you live and learn....
i really dont understand the below comments.....
i went last night being easter sunday and
...
1st of all, the staff are all great and friendly they are fair by letting same amount of girls as blokes in!! but there are plenty of girls!!!
the decoration is really good there, and even down to small details, the main dance floor is great, yes it is small but big enough . upstairs is really well decorated as well with plenty of red lighting
the drinks are expensive but after reading the reviews i kinda expected it, 2x JD coke £17 1x vodka redbull £9. i agree that drinks are over priced but with a few bars near the club i went to them before the club saved a bit of money!
the music u cannot fault, the d.j is quality!! he takes requests and plays a vary and wide range of hip hop RnB old skool and a bit of house/garage, but he always had people up and dancing with some great tunes!!
overall a really good night, with plenty of women, good music, and nice venue, cant really ask for more!!
definatly be returning again!
If I could give this place no stars I would. I came when it was Browns and thought it was over rated then, decided to try again and had a s**t time again. Drinks ridiculously priced, crowd rubbish and no atmosphere, oh and don't get me started on the DJ... I could have gone to sleep. Too small, rubbish dance area, low seating with annoying tables! Awful, what a waste of money. DON'T GO THERE!
Visited The Red Rooms a few Saturdays ago and had a good night so I thought I'd check out the Friday. Turned out they had a High St. Honey model hosting a table that night which made for a great party. The crowd was really relaxed with a party first attitude. Got chatting to a few promoters on the night and will definately be down again soon!
Apart from the fact that a beer costs £5.50, other reviewers fail to touch on the fact that this place is essentially a STRIP CLUB!
The third level of the bar is a strip club and therefore you have strippers wandering through the club all night, pretending to be regular patrons. Quite frustrating to find out that a girl you have been talking to for half an hour is in fact working there as a stripper!
What a joke of a place. Apart from the fact that the place is tiny, everything is way overpriced and the crowd on a Friday night was trash! I will not be going back! Really disappointed!
friend decided to have her birthday at the red rooms, 29.02.08. I had not been there before, and did not know anything about it. I took a friend with me and both of us were disappointed. The entrance fee was ridiculously over priced for an below the average club, and the drinks were over priced. for 2 soft drinks came to £7, for soft drinks.
The place itself is tiny, they have a floor upstairs, but that was apparently for tables which is available if youve reserved it. There is no where to sit down on the first floor, the dance floor is tiny, the music is old,and the staff all suffer from OCD.
The club is trying too hard to be classy and slick, when it fails greatly, no amount of red velvet can improve the club.
I would recommend people to go to places where there is a more relaxed, friendly atmosphere, where theres an impressive crowd.
I went there on the 22/02/08 Very over priced drinks. Worse night ever the place is just too small and no air condition on the dance floor itself. The DJ was awful. I wouldn't recommend anyone to go there don't waste your time.
