just read some reviews for the red rooms and i have to make it clear that the club night which was on saturday night is a great clubbing experience. ive been there twice since the launch and had a great time. the reviews that are recently added relate to it being a stripclub during the week so it has nothing in relation to saturday. its only fair for me to say as im not letting a few negative comments that doesnt relate to the club doesnt cloud your judgement on the clubbing side of it. go and prove me different....
id suggest stringfellows covent garden and sophisticats if you want an enjoyable night. where there are high calibre girls.
not a class establishment, went with work colleagues as my freind said its better than the other club near,Parkers, it seemed even worse and 90% of the awful girls were far from being eye candy..to say the least.
if you are a gentlemen and want to go to a gentlemens club this is not the venue. Its very seedy.
no i think the drinks are reasonable for where this club is located mate westend?but the 'dancers' which i dont evan like to call them looked crap and pounced on me and my mate as ssoon as we got to the bar one girl nearly pulled my arm off and offered me added services if i paid for a dance with her!i only enjoyed two dance with one classy looking girl who had the most beautiful hair and one blonde who didnt speak much english except "u pay now".If you want a upmarket place to go to like sophisticats be prepared to spend atleast double on drinks mate or spearmint rhino where on glass is £12secreats in hampstead/swiss cottage have breathtaking woman leggy, busty, well groomed everything
went to red rooms this wednesday, i wouldnt reccomend this place if you want to see beautuful women dance, the place was flowing with awful cheap looking women. dont go to this club, its CRAP.
Was there on Saturday, got onto the guestlist with View London. The night was as described, friendly people, great music and you didn't need an overdraft to buy a round.
I was there on Saturday for the launch of a new night and i have to say that i was pleasantly surprised. The club, music and crowd were vibrant, fun and had no attitude compared to what i experienced a couple of years ago.I have been to a few new venues or new nights recently and have to say that i have been to some good ones and some crap ones but this has to rate as a good one.If you are looking for a night full of good looking people, sexy all round music that im sure would satisfy any club goer, drink prices that are reasonably priced(im sure they were serving me doubles when i asked for a single sometimes!) and a club that goes on well past the usual 3am club closing times then go experience it, you wont regret it..............and i have to also say the staff including the doormen were polite, you really dont see that a lot these days!!!
Went to the Red Rooms on Saturday for a friends birthday (happy birthday Lisa). Other than the great company we had such a good night, the music was brill and drink were really affordable. Apparently the club was recently refurbished and under new management. In addition it was the launch of a new night. WELL DONE Red Rooms, will be coming back soon.
Can the "red rooms" even be called a club??? It's a corridor with a tiiiiny dancefloor! The drinks are waaay to expensive and everything is double, so if you, like me, like weak drinks you can't get anything. The staff is incredibly rude, the toilets smell VERY bad and the only places to seat down are on the second floor, where I almost freezed to death!! What made me feel even worse is that I actually READ all the reviews and insisting on goin anyway. Please, dooon't do the same, this place is absolutely dreadful! the seriously oughta close down.
Went to the red rooms last saturday night and what a load of rubbish...Eveything is over priced. Paid too much to get in and 3 drinks (2 vodka & coke, 1 bacardi & coke) cost £30..way to much. The place is tiny with no air con which makes is very hot and sweaty...the DJ played the same tunes over & over again and the toilets are dire...don't go and waste your money when there are so many other good places to go to. Wish i'd read reviews before going but you live and learn....
i really dont understand the below comments.....
i went last night being easter sunday and
...
1st of all, the staff are all great and friendly they are fair by letting same amount of girls as blokes in!! but there are plenty of girls!!!
the decoration is really good there, and even down to small details, the main dance floor is great, yes it is small but big enough . upstairs is really well decorated as well with plenty of red lighting
the drinks are expensive but after reading the reviews i kinda expected it, 2x JD coke £17 1x vodka redbull £9. i agree that drinks are over priced but with a few bars near the club i went to them before the club saved a bit of money!
the music u cannot fault, the d.j is quality!! he takes requests and plays a vary and wide range of hip hop RnB old skool and a bit of house/garage, but he always had people up and dancing with some great tunes!!
overall a really good night, with plenty of women, good music, and nice venue, cant really ask for more!!
definatly be returning again!
If I could give this place no stars I would. I came when it was Browns and thought it was over rated then, decided to try again and had a s**t time again. Drinks ridiculously priced, crowd rubbish and no atmosphere, oh and don't get me started on the DJ... I could have gone to sleep. Too small, rubbish dance area, low seating with annoying tables! Awful, what a waste of money. DON'T GO THERE!
Visited The Red Rooms a few Saturdays ago and had a good night so I thought I'd check out the Friday. Turned out they had a High St. Honey model hosting a table that night which made for a great party. The crowd was really relaxed with a party first attitude. Got chatting to a few promoters on the night and will definately be down again soon!
Apart from the fact that a beer costs £5.50, other reviewers fail to touch on the fact that this place is essentially a STRIP CLUB!
The third level of the bar is a strip club and therefore you have strippers wandering through the club all night, pretending to be regular patrons. Quite frustrating to find out that a girl you have been talking to for half an hour is in fact working there as a stripper!
What a joke of a place. Apart from the fact that the place is tiny, everything is way overpriced and the crowd on a Friday night was trash! I will not be going back! Really disappointed!
friend decided to have her birthday at the red rooms, 29.02.08. I had not been there before, and did not know anything about it. I took a friend with me and both of us were disappointed. The entrance fee was ridiculously over priced for an below the average club, and the drinks were over priced. for 2 soft drinks came to £7, for soft drinks.
The place itself is tiny, they have a floor upstairs, but that was apparently for tables which is available if youve reserved it. There is no where to sit down on the first floor, the dance floor is tiny, the music is old,and the staff all suffer from OCD.
The club is trying too hard to be classy and slick, when it fails greatly, no amount of red velvet can improve the club.
I would recommend people to go to places where there is a more relaxed, friendly atmosphere, where theres an impressive crowd.
I went there on the 22/02/08 Very over priced drinks. Worse night ever the place is just too small and no air condition on the dance floor itself. The DJ was awful. I wouldn't recommend anyone to go there don't waste your time.
Went to Red Rooms last friday as i had booked a VIP table for myself and 9 of my friends. When we got there we were met by friendly door staff who took us inside and guided us up to our table. The night was amazing and the service was impressive, however the table wasn't big enough for 10 people to sit on, and they added a service charge which was meant to be included in the minimum spend cost. Apart from these two problems the night was fantastic and I will certainly be returning!
Had a brillian time at the redrooms, When to Redrooms on a Friday for the Hayley Parson party, got que jumped because the promotional team offered me a cool deal and 2 free entries as well...talk about service. Most easiest club to get into, the bouncer was extremely polite and also the door picker. Drinks were a bit pricey but the music was so on point I had to sit down every 5 minutes because of my heels were killing..... Club stayed opened till late, saw alot of cool celebrities in the club also hooked up with a gorgeous hunk at the end, would defo go their again maybe next week the pr invited me to the Official Anne summers party for FREE....
When you get to the red rooms don't appear too happy to be there as it's pot luck if you get in whether you are on the guest list or not. The bouncers have rule of the roost and if they don't want to let you in they won't. When I went there for my friends 21st even though we were on the guest list they kept us waiting for 1 hour and a half only to tell us we're not coming in. Maybe if I spoke the same language as they bouncer as the two girls behind us did they would have. Pretentious is not the word...overrated. Security were just shouting at people to feel some sort of 'power'. Very aggressive and intimidating. They need a manager or meet and greeter at the door as this is the face of the club and people go there to have a good time, you should be met with a smile instead of a raging rotweiler.
