just moved into the area and decided to pay the White Swan a visit and made the mistake of going there when I was sober.

now yes it is a gay bar but boy does it lack the class and sophistication of the central London bars and it has an atmosphere of being a run down and dirty country bar rather then somewhere you would take you mother to be proud!

On the plus sides it does have a nice smoking area and the lighting is decent in here but the DJ's cannot mix and be careful what night you go on as there may be old guys stripping!

A really friendly down to earth place where people go to have fun! I love the sincerity of all the people there who are just out to have a great time! This vibrant fun place delivers big time with no West end posers! Chat to anyone without fear of a "Do I know you? rubbish!attitude.
I love it and highly recommend it! It is a place for genuine, down to earth people out for a good laugh, a dance and a bit of harmless fun! What are you lot waiting for? Rob

The White Swan is very busy Friday and Saturday nights until 4am. It has a relaxed crowd of mixed ages and a large beer garden. £5.00 entry at weekends. Drinks inexpensive. If you are gay and in the area I recommend it.

I have had some great nights there, dunno what the other person is on about.

Some great shows, great atmosphere and if you behave the security isn't a problem. Chillax!

Avoid this place at all costs if you want a decent night out! The venue it self is run down, dirty and smells like a public toilet and the staff are ignorant and rude. The so called ‘door staff’ are just mindless thugs with huge egos sharing one brain cell between them and the drinks leave much to be desired. If your thinking of having a night in there, think again!! Stay on the tube line for a couple of extra stops and go somewhere decent with a proper atmosphere and decent surroundings. This is rated 1 star and that’s only because zero rating isn’t available.

I totally disagree with the bad ratings
Ok it don't look the best but it is a good atmosphere and it's not expensive. Definitely worth a visit if your local and you want a no attitude down to earth place

The White Swan is a good gay spot which is an excellent music venue. We've had a great few nights here - infact this is where I met my partner. No complaints from me about the White Swan!
