Fantastic place, would recommend for anyone!! Although its not open for a casual drink, I spoke to the gentlemen behind the bar when I was there who informed me that its currently having a renovation being done and that its now doubled as a private members club. Will be signing up very shortly!!

Just had lunch at 'The Yacht London'. this is the 3rd time i have been and it just gets better and better. i went when it first reopened a few months ago and they were doing a Sunday carvery. i really enjoyed it then but do prefer the current format with a full table service. This time i did the 2 courses for £17.99, had the pan roasted chicken with wilted spinach and feta, (not a huge fan of spinach or feta but the flavors all mixed together was something else!). As usual the service was efficient, relaxed and very friendly. i'll be back very soon!

I have frequented the Yacht many times and find the ambiance and views wonderful especially on a sunny evening over looking the Thames. The staff are attentive with a well stocked bar together with a complimentary menu. I would recommend anyone to visit the Yacht as you will enjoy the experience.

The service was first class, and staff were so helpful and friendly. Prices were fantastic. I look forward to returning. Keep up the excellent work. I would not recommend this restaurant. When we arrived we were told there would be a 5 minute wait because people were taking too long over their food, we were kept waiting for nearly 40 mins and then told people were spending too long chatting. Our table wasn't ready and was set around us. We were not given menus. It took us a long time to get menus and then to order but once we had ordered we were interrupted twice to ask for our orders. The soup tasted as though it had been watered down to make it go further. The waiter who cleared away our starter plates came back after 15 mins to ask if we were waiting for mains, he then brought them out and served our mains to the table next to us who had sat down after us but had been served the wrong drinks already so couldn't be bothered to complain. He then brought us the wrong food and seemed to find this amusing. Some of the vegetables at the carvery were cold. It took us a very long time to get someone's attention to ask for dessert menus as all the staff were stood around the bar chatting. Dessert was unimpressive. We left in a hurry, it was all very embarrassing and the only people to say goodbye were the bouncers. I have never received such bad service and have received no response or apology from the restaurant since sending in my complaint. The food was also overpriced for the quality, and I had paid a fraction of the advertised price having purchased a Groupon voucher.

Sorry I didn't see the section to edit the Star Rating. I would in fact give this no stars if possible.

STAY AWAY!

On arrival there were five waiters standing around with only two other tables with guests and yet it took over 15 minutes for someone to take our drinks order. Then we waited patiently for another 15 minutes for our drinks to arrive. In the meantime another table that arrived after us had their order taken and drinks served. I actually had to ask the waiter for our drinks. We were with my boyfriend's parents and the service was soo poor, it was embarrassing. To make things worse, the waiter got our drinks order wrong and tried to serve white wine instead of red.

When I went downstairs to use the bathroom, I found the toilet seat on the floor of the cubicle. They only just opened for dinner service but clearly noone checked the toilets to ensure they were clean.

Starters were average, main course was very chewy beef, most of it left on our plates and then we had a waiter ask us for our dessert order which they have already taken at the beginning of the night but seem to have forgotten since.

I obviously did not leave a tip and left feeling pretty embarrassed. I would have received better service in a Wetherspoons pub. The staff were so disorganised, rather than having one waiter look after our table, we had five who didn't communicate and made constant mistakes. I actually bought another lazy Sunday meal I was originally going to give to my parents but after last night, I can only warn others to stay away. A beautiful venue ruined by below average food and very poor service.

Took my wife there for her birthday on 5/11/10 for a special treat and we are still talking about what a great experience it was. Staff were very friendly and couldn't do enough for us. The food was excellent and very well presented, my personal favourite was the seared stone bass with crispy calamari on lime mash with squid ink, this was perfection. My wife had pumpkin ravioli (starter) Fillet of Beef (main) I had game terrine (starter) all dishes were beautifully presented and tasted as good as they looked. The champagne and sweets were great as well.
A thoroughly enjoyable fine dining experience and highly recommended. Thanks to all the staff at The Yacht.

Kind Regards,

David and Tania (Battersea, London)

I also went there in the summer of 2010, but that was on a special offer as it was still a (posh) Members' Club. The venue is now reported as "closed" and that is very sad indeed, particularly in view of the prime location. But I have said all along that the model (as a posh club with £10k pa membership fee) would not work in the current economic climate. Two teams of 'management' (the second one with the so called {fake} princes) tried and failed. Now it should revert to it's former role, as a Wine Bar/restaurant open to the public and moderately priced. Or why not turn it into a Weatherspoon Floating Pub!
