What a brilliant bar VIVO is!!! I was well impressed! I had reserved a space in the bar area downstairs as I had a surprise party organised for my boyfriend! There was absolutely no hassle is reserving an area of the bar (which was brill) and also getting a drink was really easy! The bar men were having fun while they worked which is always a bonus, and the drinks were cheap for London standards!!!We will definitely be going back to Vivo the next time we are in London, such a cool place to meet with friends! Will have to sample the cuisine the next time! Thumbs up all round for this one!!! :)

GREAT TIME! Been there once had great food tapas and brazillian main meals. jugs or sangria went down well. Then the bar downstairs was great, staff were friendly enough to have a chat wilth ok prices, i think the jugs of sangria were £9 on a in happy hour, the only thing the music wasn't my cup of tea but if there is alot of you it's great plus they change the music im hoping when i go next they will play a bit of funky house.

Make sure you pop down on Wednesday nights (think it's every other wedneday.) They have a great DJ who does Funky House and percussion. Also Sax and some vocals! Had a fab time. I'm going down next Wednesday. See you there! - Report

I'm not sure what's happened to Vivo since the last reviews were written but 13 of us had a very different experience. It was appalling!! The service was distinctly average. My friend had to wait over an hour and a half for her meal, which, when it turned up, was mediocre at best and barely resembled the description on the menu. I ordered a cocktail but there were no basil leaves available so I had to choose again. The tapas menu is limited; the quality of the food edible but unexciting. I've had better tapas in the likes of La Tasca!. Having chosen the venue for my birthday primarily because of the downstairs club which promised latino house music, I was pretty miffed to be informed by the casual looking manager that it had been hired out for a private party at a cost of £4k. No one thought to mention this when they reconfirmed my booking two days prior. The only saving grace for the evening was that I managed to argue my way into a 50% refund which meant we could head a few doors down to the sophisticated Amuse Bouche Champagne Bar for a couple of excellent bottles of bubbly. I will never set foot again in Vivo. I certainly wouldn't spend £4k to hire the dingy basement club. Given this is in the heart of Soho, there are a million and one better places to frequent of an evening.

10 of us went for a meal upstairs for my boyfriends birthday. Food and drinks both great and the staff were nice and friendly. Didnt wait long for food even though there was another big group in. And it wasnt too pricey.

Would recommend for an easy, fun night out.

Recommended by a friend as a perfect place to go out a group. It's so true, but make sure you are in the mood to share cause that's the only way to try all the food. The nachos were amazing, as well as all the other tapas we tried. I ordered a caprinia drink, also fabulous. Anyhow, perfect place to start a night. I'm definitely going back.

So great! I recently moved into the SoHo area ran across Vivo. I decided to go to the restaurant with my boyfriend and we both we're extremely pleased. It's loads of fun trying all different types of tapas and drink wise- I recommend the Strawberry Monkey. Prices reasonable, drinks great, food great and it's prefect for a date or a small group with comfortable seating. Downstairs the bar is a bit louder for a more club/bar like atmosphere.
