I had such a wonderful time here!
I love Burlesque, and I have seen a lot of it - and not all of it has been good! However Betsy Bon Bon was beautiful - Classy and very elegant and she really enticed her audience.
The cocktails were very tasty- our waiter was really accommodating and we were made to feel very welcome in deed.
I also saw Gracie & her GSpots - who were wonderful and full of character.
A nice eye opener to a new supper club that I can bring my friends to for a special occasion. Not just for the guys - one for the girls too.
Delightful place with great entertainment (we saw Gracie and G -spots) and lovely so lovely cocktails. Much recommended
I booked in our hen party here after a lovely afternoon of activities at Peacock Bar. We liked the shows and the 70s disco afterwards. It was though a tiny bit tame for me and also a little expensive. However the food was hood though and we had a good view of stage which was a bonus
I spent £160 for two on some okay entertainment and an average meal. Everything felt cheap and tacky and more like some tourist evening in Leicester Square complete with two hens parties (who accounted for more than half the people there). There was nothing classy or even very sexy about this night although it had it's moments of fun so I'm sure the hen parties had a good time especially as there was a free seventies disco afterwards.
We went to volupte for valentine's night 2011. It cost £35 each fir show, plus an averagely priced dinner on top. The service was a bit slow at points, but that was to be expected on a busy night. The food was nice. The performances were excellent; a great mix of music, dancing, laughter and flesh! The girls stripped to nickers and tassles, it was sexy but tasteful. My girlfriend and I both enjoyed it.
I went to Volupte for Halloween and it is be one of the most memorable nights out of my life.
The atmosphere was friendly exciting and it felt like we were on a film set. We were up close to the performers so its an intimate show which I love.
The performers ranged from a genuinely scary cat woman, hilarious male burlesque dancer and an utterly mesmerizing fire eater with a real python.
They were all wonderful performers and the range of acts was really unexpected. The food was delicious and as a veggie it was good to have decent options on the menu.
Cocktails are also great - taste as they should and are presented beautifully. I can recommend the Guilty pleasure - so good.Go go go x
This was the most disappointing and expensive night out I've had.I took two Norwegian friends as a treat.
When we sat down, they put two of us with our backs to the 'entertainment floor area' (there's NO STAGE!!).
Obviously this would have meant we would not have been able to see the act and eat so we had to squeeze together and two of us had to eat from the corner of the small square table.
The service is very slow. The cocktails amateurish - think Weatherspoons not Savoy. The menu is a set menu - very limited and the food obviously prepared long in advance.
All four of us thought the food was very poor indeed. It smacked of microwaved ready meals. This place is shabby and run-down, the toilets are gross.
The tired 'decor' looks like car boot sale rejects. It's as glamourous as baby sick.As to the entertainment, it included a rubber chicken and fake blood.
Gross. How sexy is that?Avoid it like the plague. The cost? £80 per head!
I visited Volupte for my birthday after hearing a lot of positive things from people, so wanted a special night for my 30th.
The night started off well with a courteous doorman and some very nice cocktails even if it did take a long time for my frind to get served.
However from that point on, I was disappointed, the show was good but not phenomenal. In the interlude we went up to get drinks to discover there was only one bar person trying to cover the full bar making cocktails, so obviously the queue was ridiculous.
Absolutly give it to the bar person, she tried her hardest with no support from anyone else. We had a waiter who seemed to be rushing around pushing people out of his way throughout the night, a simple excuse me would've done the job.
After the show we came back upstairs to relax while they transformed the downstairs, took a seat only to be informeded that we needed to move so they could put up a makeshift cloak room. So were pushed from pillar to post.
We then made our way downstairs and took a seat. We were asked again to move out of the way as they were still moving things around. Fortunately one staff member (possibly a manager) could see how upset we were and asked us what the problem was and then requested that the staff allow us to stay where we were.
The evening was good, however the mood had been ruined by the start of the evening. So unfortunately I was left with a bad taste in my mouth and a disappointing 30th birthday. I can't say that I will be rushing back.
