Visiting a gentlemen’s club for the first time can be a bit daunting. You don’t know what to expect, or what the etiquette is, which can leave you a bit on edge. However, when you come to Whites not only do you feel at ease, you feel welcome.

The Venue
You’ll find Whites slap bang in the middle of the City, equidistant from Aldgate and Aldgate East tubes. As you exchange monies (£5 before 8pm and £10 after 12midnight) with the ever so friendly doorman, he will guide you in to the world of Whites. Depending on your budget or what type of mood you are in, Whites has something to satisfy all tastes. To the right as you enter is the Champagne Room which is one of many private rooms they have. In here it is £230 an hour and you get a dancer and a bottle of house champagne. The room has black sofas, twinkling glass chandeliers and a black curtain at the entrance, giving you some privacy.

In the main area there’s luscious leather seating around the sides and a main pole with seats in close proximity. Here you can meet the girls and it costs £20 for a private dance.

If you have a bit more money to spend and want a more private setting, then experiencing one of their four special themed rooms is a must. The first is a Home Office room kitted out to look like a room in parliament. There’s a globe, which doubles up as a champagne cabinet, and this space costs £550 an hour. The next is a dungeon room (£750 an hour) and this is the biggest room. There are chains with handcuffs attached to the walls and this definitely suits the more adventurous customer. The school room is a popular room (£550 an hour) and looks precisely like your school days. Wooden desks with ink holes, school books, leather satchels, an abacus and wooden cane - the attention to detail is phenomenal.

The last room isn’t really a room; it’s a limousine (£850 an hour). You are escorted to the back of the club, where the VIPs enter, and the limo picks you up from there. With your chosen girl, you get to go on a tour around London, catching all the tourists’ sites whilst being entertained. Truly the ultimate VIP experience.

The Atmosphere
Whites adopt an incredibly laid back vibe and it feels more like a club than a gentlemen’s club. The music is commercial dance, with a penchant for Michael Jackson. The girls are dressed in sexy lingerie and will just stand there and chat to you at the bar, without pushing the hard sell which is great to see. Thursdays and Fridays are the busiest nights, but it doesn’t get too crowded and still maintains a cool atmosphere. Expect to see City boys, a few regulars, tourists, stag parties and some couples.

The Drink
Surprisingly the drinks prices at Whites are very reasonable. Spirits are only served in doubles and cost £7, but if you want a premium spirit, like Grey Goose for instance, it pushes it up to £9. You can also buy spirits by the bottle, for instance Smirnoff is £75 whereas Grey Goose is £120. There’s a small selection of bottled beers: Stella, Peroni and Bud for £4, which again isn’t extortionate for a gentlemen’s club. Whites, of course, have a champagne list, with house being £50 and Cristal £275 a bottle.

The Last Word
Whites hospitality and laid back nature makes it an absolute pleasure to visit. It is rare to find a gentlemen’s club that has gone to so much effort to devise ways of entertaining their customers. Their themed rooms are an asset as are their fantastic staff, so if you have never visited a gentlemen’s club, this is a good place to start.
