Game cookery at the Pot Kiln Pub, celebrity chef cookery with UKTV Food's Mike Robinson"I get to do what I love, as a celebrity chef, which is to cook with real ingredients. Saddleback pigs from over the road, muntjac deer shot in the woods surrounding the Pot Kiln Pub - this is paradise" - Mike Robinson, Pot Kiln PubThe wonderfully rural Pot Kiln Pub was taken over back in March 2005 by Mike Robinson, chef, presenter and author. As seen on UKTV Food’s ‘Heaven’s Kitchen at Large’, Pot Kiln pub runs a series of celebrity chef cookery courses at the Game & Wild Food Cookery School down the road, designed to teach different aspects of wild food and game cookery. The demand for celebrity chef cookery courses with the Pot Kiln Pub has been so great that a new cookery school was built at Yattendon, only 600 yards from Pot Kiln Pub.
This celebrity chef cookery course with Pot Kiln Pub is designed to act as an introduction to the art of game cookery. Clients will prepare 3 recipes, Pheasant, Rabbit and wild Venison. There will be a morning demonstration at the game cookery school down the road from Pot Kiln Pub, which will include tips and shortcuts followed by the basic principles of easy skinning, butchering, marinading and timing. During the afternoon you will prepare further recipes, with clients working in pairs. Constant advice will be given, the idea being to give you the confidence to go home and recreate the dishes perfectly. This will be followed by a feast of all items cooked during the day, enjoyed at Pot Kiln Pub.
The Pot Kiln Pub offers one day game cookery courses celebrity chef Mike Robinson’s Game and Wild Food Cookery School for a maximum of 12 people.
