The Meltdown Festival is one of the highlights of the musical calendar not only in London but across the UK, and consequently Meltdown Festival tickets are some of the most sought after of the year. Unlike other music festivals it is curated by a different well-known musician every year, with past curators including David Bowie, Lee Scratch Perry, Morrissey, Patti Smith and Massive Attack. This year it's the turn of the celebrated musician and visual artists, Yoko Ono.

Why you should pick up Meltdown Festival tickets
The festival is not only about music, however, and also has a strong multimedia facet with film screenings, photographic exhibitions and more. The events take place over the course of twelve days, all overseen by the masterly mind of Yoko Ono - small wonder then that Meltdown Festival tickets are some of the hottest tickets in town.

Don't miss
Besides Yoko Ono, the lineup for this fantastic festival will see a host of superb acts that have been hand-picked by the curator himself. The Meltdown Festival always has a good selection from classical to the avant-garde so there's bound to be something to suit everyone's tastes. Expect a series full of the finest music, art, spoken word, activities and anything else you can imagine as Antony puts his stamp on this hugely popular festival.

Reminisce
Yoko Ono knows a thing or two about music, and these festivals are a way of showcasing some of her favourite bands, acts and artists - new school and old school alike. Having enjoyed her 80th birthday in 2013, Yoko Ono has influenced and worked with a long list of famous artists, such as Lady Gaga, David Byrne, Eric Clapton, Thurston Moore, Ornette Coleman, Antony, The Flaming Lips, Andy Warhol, establishing herself as one of the best artists in recent history. Her line up includes the electronic muscian Siouxsie who will be performing alongside artists such as Kim Gordon, Reggie Watts and Iggy and the Stooges. There will also be a silent disco on the terrace, as well as a special screening of Battleship Potemkin, screened for the first time with the recorded Pet Shop Boys/Dresdner Sinfoniker soundtrack.
