why is it that in so many French movies the plot is forwarded by illogical behaviour? It is as if the script writer and editor have said: "This is what would happen in real life. We'll do exactly the opposite." Look at that film "I've Loved You So Long". The lead, a doctor, spends 15 years in jail for the mercy killing of her son because she doesn't tell the authorities that he had a terminal disease. She prefers to be regarded and treated as a criminal murderer. And how could Denis Klein become police chief after what he did at the stake-out?
