Watching this movie in 3D is a truly breath-taking experience and you really are transported to another world. Sit back in the cinema and relish the journey. I must admit that I very much enjoyed all the 'tree-hugging' Gaia-infused mysticism and could quite happily have watched another couple of hours of this - much less enjoyable are the inevitable guns and explosions that seem to be required in every US blockbuster these days, oddly almost seeming to glorify the very jar-head war-mongering that the film ultimately intends to criticise. Quite brave of Cameron nonetheless to contain elements that are not hard to view as anything other than a thinly veiled satire of Bush and US imperialism. I have now watched the movie in 2D as well and I do have to say that it is not a patch on the 3D version in all its spectacular and vivid glory. A landmark in modern cinema which will no doubt spawn countless (lesser) imitations.

Amazing film. Maybe 3hours long, but the time flew past.
Thought provoking and exceptionally well made.
