I thought the cameraman was pretty hilarious actually - he was supposed to be a try-hard clown people! It was a genine surprise as to how clever this film was and its take on the traditional monster movie was excellent. Although there are some definite nods to the Blair Witch Project this is a far more thrilling, action packed rollercoaster ride. It takes a while to get used to the unusual method of filming - I felt almost seasick at first, but once you're used to it you feel emersed in the movie far more than many other similar films. Top class.

Apparently, rumour has it that this could be one film from a long line of sequels in which the monster attack is filmed from different angles by different people with different cameras. That would make sense because this feels very much like half a film. Some genuinely thrilling moments among the nonsense however.

The idea about possible sequels that might fill in the gaps is really cool. You are left thinking what happens next, and what the hell was that thing?

I really enjoyed the film and I didn't think the characters were all that bad, ok not brilliantly sympathetic but the Rob and Beth thing was quite cute.

Much better than I expected. The handycam style is occasionally irritating, but in general works very well indeed. Similarly, the characters are often annoying (especially the "cameraman", who needed a solid punch in the mouth), but do a good job of making the whole thing pretty damn convincing.

The monster stuff is well done, taking a long time to reveal anything of substance, but the monster is really just a bit-part, with the plight of the characters the focus.

Lastly, it's very short (84 minutes all in), but it doesn't feel it.
