Enjoyable but at times gut-wrenching, terribly sad and showed so clearly man's inhumanity to man. However it was also a true history lesson for us all.
Well acted and superbly filmed, and totally gripping.

I am most upset , i wanted to go and see it having read the book but it is no longer being shown in local cinemas , it shows that the public in general are not interested in films about Jewish history.

This is a magnficient film. Superbly written and acted, emotionally powerful and warm-hearted. Liv Schrieber and Jamie Bell are particularly good. The only thing stopping me from giving it 5 stars is the ending, which is a little bit Deus Ex Machina, but nonetheless satisfying. Highly recommended.
