I bought my latest bike in September (08) and it had 4k on the clock, it's now got 12k (miles that is, 12000 miles) this is because I use my bike everday for my job and I ride all over the UK in all weather everyday. I'm not the fastest or most hardcore rider but I feel that the fact that when I got home last weekend and I had a half inch layer of snow and ice on my textiles allows me to have an opinion.

Those people who felt the need to have a go at this movie need to get out on a bike more. Whether you ride or have never, just get out more (especially on a bike) and maybe you'll realise that this movie is just entertainment and not real life...why get all p1ssy about it like some spoilt child?

Personally I loved it, made me laugh and frankly I don't see enough representation of bikers in the media. This movie isn't a documentary it's a story, like you would read to your kids, like you might have had read to you. Harmless if it's put into perspective, it's not driving a Range Rover Sports Model with a spoiler and doing it's best to try to kill you because you had the nerve to under take it on the motorway when it was sitting in the outside lane with nothing in the inner lanes for miles in front or behind. Just put it into perspective. It's just entertainment....not real life.

It's a British FILM(not a movie!)

Okay, let's get realistic, it is a first time film by the director/scriptwriter John Ivay, but it has that odd Britishness about it. Only we do this sort of comedy ie Trainspotting, Restless Natives etc.

The acting takes time to warm up, Phil Daniels is the most natural right from the start. The biker scenes are good, with shades of Mad Max II, as are some of the characters. Location shots are great and once the trio get to Wales (Hay-on-Wye?) the film steps up a gear.

Wild Hogs it ain't...now that was dross!

There was plenty of the 'F' word, and that was about all. No violence...well blood and guts! No sex scenes apart from a quick flash of a pair of Bristols. The War Scene during the 'shrooms' part was funny and great in 5.1 sound, that helicopter is pretty cool:)

I bought the film at the same time as Wild Hogs. Watched WH once, Freebird, three times so far and it gets funnier and has quite an insightful take on the three main characters. Hopefully John Ivay will do another Freebird type film, but boost the script more.

If you like British comedy, watch it. Don't expect American humour or Oscar winning performances, but have a few beers and go along with the ride!!

ETA: Shrooms trip, in the pub, a classic scene!!

This Film is atrocious!!! One can understand why this film hasn't been released to cinema... I picked up the leaflet for this film in the Ace Cafe on a Harley Night, as a thought to buy it for my father, of the Rutland HOG Chapter. It was on demand on Virgin Media, and I cannot believe that we paid for a movie with such low quality. I disagree with the comment "Maybe this film is for Bikers" by the main review. I watched it with my father, and the only reason we carried on watching it was because he had paid for it. The best part of the film was at the end, when they played Freebird (which you cannot even compare to Lynyrd Skynyrds version, it is that bad) was played, when two of the main characters ride on OCC through LA.

The big focus on drugs, really does give Bikers a bad name. A lot of people especially Harley Riders, ride because of the experience and enjoyment of being free. It also makes it ok for people to take drugs, what a good example for all the young people in Britain.

This film really shouldn't even be compared to Wild Hogs. Wild Hogs was all about the experience described above by people who ride for the love of their bikes and the open road.

To even make this film into a DVD is a waste of money. The shocking acting, awful script, and the big focus on drugs makes it dreadful. Shame to those who produced this movie. Who could lower them selves to such an awful piece of media.

This is a fantastic British film. A cleverly observed script if you are in the know of what a weekend with mushrooms can do to a man. As per usual Phil Daniels is bloody excellent along with that most under rated
of British actors Geoff Bell. Some very quotable lines, some fantastic
new music and a blinding cover version of Freebird. This will become
a Classic British movie, like the weed in the film, it's a grower.

Quite possibly the worst 90 film viewing minutes of my entire life. I would say the worst 90 minutes of my life but after my last relationship, it would narrowly be runner up to the worst moments of that. The only reason it is defined as a biker road movie is the mode of transport, the film would not be any worse if they had all turned up on roller skates. Gary Stretch blended seamlessly into the Welsh forest scenery so wooden was his acting. It's a mark of the quality of this movie that the funniest moment in it was the sight of Phil Daniels taking a crap whilst rolling up a joint. My wife was luckier than me, she bailed out after 20 minutes or so to go and do something infinitely more interesting, think she had some nail varnish to remove...

Anyway, DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME! There is no fun to be had in watching 'actors' pretending to take drugs, or indeed act. This movie makes a mockery of the very term 'movie', any bikers looking for a REAL biker movie, stick with Easy Rider et al, I can guarantee that there is little here to interest bikers or indeed the mentally sound among us. Or even the mentally unsound for that matter...

I TOTALLY disagree with the reviewer. This movie is GREAT and HILARIOUS! I'm not a biker tho my friends and partner are, not only that some of them were in the movie as extras.

It's a fun movie, with recognisable BRITISH locations for once! Everyone will relate to this film - not just bikers - anyone British in fact with a sense of humour! The plot is good, acting not OT, or low key, just right in fact. There are some genuinely hilarious moments, especially at the end!

It's going to be a cult classic, IS a cult classic already, some of my friends have seen it 3 times already. I'm off to see it again next Saturday and have pre-ordered the DVD. Can't wait!

My partner and I keep re-watching the You Tube trailer and it always raises a laugh - and gets funnier the more you watch it - the mark of a TRUE cult movie - I THOROUGHLY recommend seeing it, if you can, or get the DVD in June!!!

I don't know what the previous reviewer was on when he watched this film, but it was obviously bad gear, as the trip i took
was at the Empire Leicester Sq and everyone was having a great time. This will
become one of those British gems and certainly deserves a few viewings. Read another review in film exposed, they thought it was brilliant.
