2004's classic Zombie spoof Shaun of the Dead was an infinately hard act to follow, but director Edgar Wright and stars Simon Pegg and Nick Frost have the answer. Hot Fuzz is another hillarious British comedy that makes the perfect follow-up to the comedy of the decade. After a horror spoof, Wright, Pegg and Frost have come up with another romp at a popular genre. This time buddy cop action. Hot Fuzz is packed with non-stop jokes that pay direct homage to the American action movies of the 1980s, but combines this with spot-on Britisah humour.

The film tells of PC Nick Angel (Pegg), a lousy London Police Officer who gets sacked from the Metropolitan Police and relocated to the spookingly quiet village of Sandford in Gloucestershire where reports are constantly coming in of strange going-ons. Angel sets out along with his oafish work partner Danny Butterman (Frost) and a handful of local Police Officers to clean the village of all crime through an array of action-packed laughs and wonderful entertainment. There's definately somethiing very warming about allk films that star the Pegg/Frost duo. Their unstoppable humour makes perfection. Hot Fuzz is not a sequel, but a follow-up that, just like it's No.1 predcessor, is worthy to be amongst the best in comedy.

In conclusion, this is a hugely enjoyable action flick that will literally make you cry with laughter. Hits the target with a considerable effect in the second of two of the funniest British films ever made.

Funny in places, but seriously overrated. Got pretty boring and tedious in the last half. I couldn't wait for it to finish. A disappointment....
