This film is a travesty. The producers were handed a nearly perfect story on a plate in the form of Matheson's book, and they butchered it. If they'd only had the gumption to stick to the story, they would have had a great film on their hands.

I haven't read the book. I thought the film was very good w. a very well-shot ending. Will Smith was brilliant.

I agree that it was disappointing. They kind of made it into an American version of 28 days later, which was superior in my book. Will Smith is good in this though.

another thing, what was with the zombies? They looked like they were just updated from the movie irobot! They all looked the same!
