I saw it under the premise that I loved Kirsten's previous work and that she had won Best Actress at Cannes and what a disappointment. Then again, after Tree of Life made Palm d'Or, I can't help but feel that the judges at Cannes were probably in a different world this year.
So anyway, this is a movie aboutt two sisters faced with world destruction and how they deal with it. Kirsten and Gainsborough are the sisters in question, which to me made such an impression as they have absolutely nothing to do with each other. Kirsten is blonde and aloof and Gainsborough is British, brunette and runs away with her child in a golf cart in the middle of a storm after burying her suicidal husband in straw after he kills himself when he realizes the world is abou to end.
I do not recommend it unless you liked Tree of life and all those slow motion cinematic sequences. I never fell asleep in the movies, but these two would make...
