Never Let Me Go is a fine poignant drama with some superb performances from Keira Knightly, Carey Mulligan and Andrew Garfield. However it's also incredibly dull and so lifeless I could barely watch. The mood is so depressing and at times this becomes more of a overdone melodrama rather than compassionate Sci-Fi love story. Although Never Let Me Go is a beautifully-made English about love at any cost, it doesn't hit hard enough to make the impact it aspires to make.

A consistently constructed "what if" love story. Although it kept my attention all the way through and pulled me in to empathising with the characters, when it was over I was left wandering what the point of the film was. As a love story and reflections on our relationship with mortality it was engaging, but looses something because the "what if" scenario and the characters fatalism is so improbable that it detracts from the impact of any message.
