Contrary to the opinions of this reviewer, I think Pathology is a brilliant film. Not a contender for a film of the year award, no, but a thrilling movie from start to finish with great performances from a well-chosen cast of minor stars, creative cinematography and an entirely original plot.

Gore is plentiful but not distracting, although too many horror flicks may have desensitised me on that front. There are a number of sex scenes, most brief but enjoyable and in contrast with the gruesome nature of the film.

I'd recommend any horror or thriller fan to check Pathology out.

Poor film... don't be fooled just cause it's the guy from Heroes.
