Rachel getting married:

A strong performance by Anne Hathaway by playing a drug addict who leaves the rehab for a couple of days to attend her sisters wedding. She plays the role in a sensitive and interesting way, her pain is visibly seen her face as she just wants to be accepted and forgiven for the pain she caused and the selfish mistakes she made. This is not an easy film, but that is exactly what this film wants to tell- the true life and pain of people who take drugs and the pain the causes on themselves and others. And that even when they become clean in their life again it is not going to be better and easier from that moment on, possibly even harder than before. Nevertheless, this film shows that it can be done and people can forgive.
The whole film seems rather like a home made film, but that just adds to the intensity of the film, it feels like the viewer/audience is attending the wedding themselves and propelled into the life’s of this family.
Overall a powerful and true film about a family struggling with an ex-drug addict in their midst and how to deal with it.
