I don't think i have ever wanted to see a Star Trek film before until i read these reviews.

I have never seen a star trek film before so i am feeling a little strange wanting to having read these positive reviews. Mathew Turner has turned me...!

I saw it at IMAX Wimbledon and agree 100% with this Site's review. I am not a true blue Trekkie, but this movie is just hugely enjoyable for both fans and non-fans. It's very exciting and just huge escapist fun - an antidote to all the depressing news at the moment.

All the cast are great and they really do it proud. It reboots with respect, but makes it new and exciting in the same way Doctor Who was rebooted in 2005. Some purists may balk at what they've done with Star Trek continuity, but I think it was the right way to go and allows them to move forward without the baggage of the past.

I came out of the cinema buzzing and it's one of those rare times when you feel like queueing up and seeing it again! Not just great Start Trek, but a great movie.

The only negatives are one amazing coincidence results in a significant chance meeting and I didn't particularly care for the transporter effect. But these are tiny niggles in an otherwise note-perfect movie. The trailer doesn't actually do it justice (and how often is it normally the case of great trailer, crap movie?!).

Worth seeing on the IMAX screen for the fantastic space battles.

Enjoy!
