Such a brilliant film, Star Trek into Darkness progresses well from its first outing in 2009. From its adrenaline pumping opening through to its climatic finale, Into Darkness tick all the right sci-fi boxes. Its brilliant ensemble cast have a definitely meshed together well and bring new takes on all the classic characters. For me Zachary Quinto stood out as Spok this time around, his journey through the narrative really helps to give the sense of struggle that his character undergoes through the film's many twists and turns. The effects and production design, were as expected, incredible throughout and create such a rich, multi-layered visual feast that is highly enjoyable to become engrossed in. I can't wait for it to be released on dvd!
