Curmudgeon that I am, I spent much of the film cringing as yet another bucketful of gloopy sentimentality was hurled over me. Overall, though, it was quite enjoyable if very unsubtle (not far short of schmaltz). You have to admire attempts to tackle this subject, which must resonate with a lot of people, but as a work of art it was pretty mediocre. I have to say that the 2 women and 1 man who saw it with me really enjoyed it.
