Can't believe View London gives this film 5 stars - I would give it none if I could. The most turgid, dreary, miserable hour and 40 minutes I've ever spent. It's called the Road because it goes on, and on, and on, and on. Enough already with all these depressing, pessimistic post-apocalyptic movies. Take my advice, save your money and watch some paint dry for 110 minutes. It's cheaper.

This is no different than any of the other apocalyptic movies /TV series that have appeared over the years - OK to watch on TV on a cold winter evening.

Total rubbish, it can’t be call a film. They should be ashamed of themselves by making such this thing. Entirety waste of time on its worst way. Meaningless and unwatchable. Whatever that has a couples of Hollywood stars doesn’t mean to have value at all.

I think that this film is definitely not for the faint-hearted. This whole thing about people practising cannibalism on a daily basis and keeping some slaves/people as meat reserves in their cellar is absolutely horrible.

I think that Hollywood is promoting a disgraceful wave of very pessimistic and unnecessarily dark films at the moment (2012, the road, Terminator, etc) which may reflect the mood of people in the US but, when we watch these films here in Europe, we just come out of the film wanting to commit suicide straight away.

Please stop the propaganda of pessimism and dye-hard capitalism and come back to your senses, US film producers! We need films of hope, not of death!
