Film of the year without a doubt - 10 times better than the King's Speech which is an ok little movie. Script is excellent, acting is excellent - skillfully edited so that the movie cuts back and forth from the various legal cases (Zuckerberg is sued by everyone and his dog) to actual time in the past. Is Zuckerberg a genius? A sociopath? An autistic? The great thing about the movie is that it makes no judgement - it presents and the viewer is left to decide for him or herself. Timberlake almost steals the show in an excellent performance. A must see.

An interesting biopic that sums up how Facebook was created and all the corporate feuds that went into it fairly well, but it's not the outstanding chronicle of the Facebook founders I expected. The film certainly immerse great acting talent in America's youngsters and the script is very well written, but it's dull and boring. I almost fell asleep at times. Why would anyone want to see a film about corruption in a company? The Facebook element is about the only thing that keeps you watching. Otherwise this is a very ordinary film. Jesse Eisenberg is impressive as the Facebook creator Mark Zuckerberg, but the character's ruthless overbearing nature is hard to live with. The director David Fincher and his wonderful screenwriter Aaron Sorkin clearly did well in adapting this intriguing tale onto the screen. However the film is still far from ace. In the end, it develops into the unoriginal story of a friendship that becomes a rivalry as Zuckerberg and his best friend and Facebook co-founder Eduardo Saverin (Andrew Garfield) clash over who owns Facebook. Justin Timberlake's performance as a limy corporate snake is the best bit in a sly cunning character. However the final product is an effective, but not OSCAR-worthy feature. If only The Social Network was a bit more colourful.
