This was a truly outstanding film with a small excellent cast, obviously shot on a tight budget with some excellent location choices. the subject could have been dealt with in a slushy sentimental way, but instead it was convincing, reakistic and ultimately sad. Excellent performances by all the protagonists but richard jenkins in particular. The drumming in the film was excellent. my only slight criticism would be that some of the non drumming sound track was a little jarring. A definite 4* film for me
