Id say Babalou is the best place to go out in Brixton. Its the club thats in a converted church and its always a good night. Not sure whats on on a wednesday though, so you might want to check that out. Dex is also is a top night these days

If your choosing between those 2 i would suggest Dex. Id make time to go to Third Space, they have some class djs and you can find something you like in one of the rooms. id prob head here first then elsewhere later, though it sometimes you wont want to move on
