you might want to have a look at these places they have roof gardens, but the areas might me a little out of the way for you.

The White House (Clapham)

You and me both, although i´m 30 mid July and havent sorted anything out! My problem is i´m in Colombia until 3 days before my bday so struggling a bit. Sounds like we want the same things. A mate has suggested The Macbeth in Shoreditch although im worried it will be too packed for an extra 30 odd people. HELP!!

Venue hire is definitely the way to go! There are so many great bars in London that have space you can reserve for free or minimum spend deals. Check out the venue hire section on this site to see what suits you: Venue Hire
