Every year I used to throw a house party for New Years Eve, filling the place with friends and family.
This year however my girlfriend decided to loose the plot, leave me and thus end the fun – although I have the house, I’m in no mood to celebrate the New Year in at the house!

Now – the pain of a very long relationship ending is over shadowed somewhat by the fact that my friends and I are now left in the lurch for our New Year venue!

Can anyone recommend a little gem of a venue for a quality evening that is funky, with chilled out people and that is not to huge, full of attitude and no ravers!

We are in the Blackheath area, but willing to head into town.

You might want to try Lounge 34 in Lambeth

If you can face heading as far as Camden, I'd recommend Fifty Five Bar and Lounge on New Year's Eve. Otherwise you'll just end up in Cave Austin!
