There are quite a few pubs near the park, especially on King Street. Shepherds Bush road has a few to, but that might be a bit of a walk. Personally, id go to The Old Ship on Upper Mall. Its not far from the park (just across King St really) and they serve decent food. Most importantly, it looks on to the river, so if your going to waste the day away you will be in nice surroundings. hope this helps
