As part of its season of events to mark significant contributions to musical theatre, BBC Radio 2 presents a special live concert for Andrew Lloyd Webber’s birthday, compered by John Barrowman, to celebrate Andrew Lloyd Webber's own work, with a host of stars from the West End, Broadway, Pop and Television, including, Denise Van Outen, Joss Stone, Elaine Paige, Duncan James, Hayley Westenra, Lee Mead, Idina Menzel, Julian Lloyd Webber, Rhydian, Ruthie Henshall, Jason Donovan and Steve Balsamo, along with the BBC Joseph and Nancy finalists.
With music from shows including 'Jesus Christ Superstar', 'Joseph', 'Evita',' Cats', 'Starlight Express', 'The Beautiful Game',' Whistle Down the Wind',' The Phantom of the Opera' and 'Sunset Boulevard', backed by the spectacular 70-piece BBC Concert Orchestra and 100-voice chorus, the celebrations for Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Birthday in the Park will close with a fireworks finale.
